Ok I will tell you about the products that didn't work well for me :

-retin a ( I had my ice pick scars when I started using the 0.5 % gel , I didn't know how to use it )

-oil cleansing method ( castor oil + jojoba oil ) it caused new breakouts and my skin was very dark because of using hot water and made my pores larger .

-mesotherapy I did this treatment with derma roller ( size 0.5) I didn't get any good result. and the needles in the derma roller made my skin look like an orange peel

- msm cream

- hyaluronic acid serums ( they made my skin dry )

- camillia oil ( horrible breakouts )

- tamanu oil ( I ordered this oil when I read the good reviews everywhere on the net but I couldn't use it because it smells bad )

- vitamen E ( really bad for acne prone skin )

- alo vera gel ( I used this under my make up and it made the scars look shallow but I felt that it could block my pores so I stopped using it )

- bio oil ( it was really bad . I had cystic acne all over my face after using this oil for one week )

- emu oil ( I ordered this oil recently . I don't know but so far so good )

- african black soap ( this soap is great for removing makeup but it cause dry skin )

My scars are very deep . some of them look like enlarged pores but they are acne scars and derma rolling made my skin look worse and added more scars. I wish I didn't try derma rolling

Your scars are actually not deep. Ever considered a combination of tca cross and tca peel treatment?? like this one -

Also from a good distance, I really doubt anyone can see your scars.

I've tried dermaroller and it didn't really work. It looks good for a short period cause of the temporary swelling. Once the swelling subsides, it's back to normal.

Did you self roll, or was it a professional treatment? If you self rolled, what was your protocol? I wonder why you also had a bad experience when many people don't. This scares me frankly, as having dermastamping is my next step once my breakouts are fully under control.

Have you seen a professional to assess if your skin has any structural damage from the rolling? Not to scare you, but just so you can treat it in the best way possible (just make sure you do your research and find a skin expert, not just someone like a beautician)

Hoping the best for you.

Wow good results in that thread . I wish we have this method here but unfortunately doctors think that laser treatment is the only way to cure the scars . I don't trust laser because I saw bad results .

I did it in the clinic. they used vitamins serum after dermarolling , my skin was red for 2 days, and after one week I could see the damage that dermarolling did to my skin .. my scars looked deeper than before and the texture of my face was really bad .

I recommend that you try dermastamping on a small area then if you like the result you can do it on all of your scars .. I read that stamping is better than rolling . I hope it will work well for you .

I work as a medical esthetician with a plastic surgeon, (my credentials) Its important to know that doing a treatment one time or every once in a while will NOT improve your skin. Pitted skin is difficult to treat but it is effectively treatable. It takes time, patience, and consistency. I just met with a patient that has tried just about everything she could under the sun for her pitted acne scars. The problem was that she tried them once and that was it. Pigmentation can be helped but its important to note that you MUST be vigilent about the treatment for the rest of your life because we can vanish them from the surface but the problem is always there just waiting to resurface again. Products must be used forever to keep them away. Co2 laser is effective on "fair" colored pitted skin. However, darker skin must go a longer intensive route. In my experience, I've never seen an over-the-counter product work for advanced acne, acne scars or pitted skin.
