First off I just want to say hello to everyone and thanks for being on this forum as this is a great community of people striving to find peace of mind by bettering our skin problems. So I've lurked on these forums a little before but never really found what I was looking for so Im going to be starting my own post (and updates) as I try to improve my PIH. As you can see in the pics of my leg, some small pimples that were there probably a month or two ago have become unsightly dark spots. This has been an issue for me for as long as I can remember, Im 27 now but I know for sure its been like that since I was around 16/17, and basically any pimple I get turns out like that. And though I dont have any pics up, for me pimples show up in literally any part of my body except rarely my face. Also the funny thing is I noticed pimples that were on my face dont tend to get dark and stick around like it does on other parts of my body like my leg in the pic I posted or places like my back. A bit unusual because usually people with this problem have it on there face but for me its my body, so thats something I'll have to consider as I move forward on how to treat my PIH.
A little background on myself, like I said I'm 27, asian male, and without question have been living a pretty unhealthy lifestyle for past 5, 6 years. I used to smoke cigarettes, eat much junk food, and probably didnt get enough physical activity in though I've always played basketball pretty consistently. However within the past couple of months I've really made an attempt to change my life, as far as making healthier choices go. I finally quit smoking, eat healthier, get to the gym at least 3 times a week to run, lift, play basketball, and now I feel like its also time to take on my PIH problems as well. Ive always thought that it would just go away one day but after all these years it never left, and probably in a really deep stage or affect since its always been there with me never doing anything about it.
Obviously, I would really appreciate any advice from people who've dealt with issues like this and got past it. Or if your dealing with something similar currently I would love to hear your input as well. I figured I'd start by purchasing some exfoliating products off Amazon, heres the link to both of them, since it seems like people encourage exfoliating to bring newer skin and get rid of the old.

I actually also own the Orange bottle that they sell here, which I plan on applying after using the exfoliating products. I notice people sometimes mention how certain products allow other products to work more effectively, and thats basically what Im trying to accomplish with the products I have on hand. Um, also I find it very hard to treat my back as I cant get to all the places on my back that need some treatment because Im not very flexible. I dont want to ask anyone to help me apply it so Im looking for something I can buy to help me deal with this issue. I remember seeing something a while ago but cant remember the name of it, its like a big band looking thing...idk. Anyway yea, thanks for reading and time to get to work.
That looks like KP to me. I have that as well on my legs..and I'm also Asian. My dermatologist prescribed me a steroid cream to calm it down for a week and then put me on a topical to counter bacteria that may infect the area. Now my legs are fine. I don't get the bumps anymore as long as I moisturize. Sephora has a good lotion called KP duty. Hope that helps.

Hey yea def thanks for the input, but what is KP short for? Also, another thing to mention is that though it looks like bumps, its actually not bumpy at all, its just on my skin with no raise or anything like that.
