Leeman44, in your case I DO NOT recommend laser because you do not have texture issues. Your 1 or 2 scars are minor and are the rolling type with normal looking skin over it. This is by far the easiest of scars to improve because there are no textural abnormalities or sharp edges.

I'd say do another 1 or 2 subcisions and then see how much improvement you've had. You may be satisfied with the results enough to just move on. This is not a difficult case. LIke I said before, this is minor and should be a slam dunk.

Hi BlahBlah, when you say texture issues do you mean colour also? As the scarred area skin all feels much smoother than normal skin?

This subscision definately seems to have had little effect so another subscision may be better by a different dr?

I must be seeing the wrong thing in your photo. I still can't see any rolling scars. I thought you were concerned by something else, possibly boxcar scars. I will look again at work where my monitor is quite large.

Inspired - first scar is just left of my lips (Small) not sure if its rolling.. Is a line scar.

Second is a circular looking effect on the righter side of my cheek just as the cheeks drop.

Hope that helps

Hi Leeman77,

Looking at your photos on a large monitor now, and I honestly don't know if subcision would be effective. Others seem to think it would be, so I'd have to go with their advice. Your scars look so minor though that they really are almost unnoticeable. I have to really focus on the pictures and even then, the scars are hard to find. Are your scars actually tethered or have you lost tissue in those spots?

Well.. Under light shadow i can see indents on the scar lines? My scars are so lighting dependant?

That's why I thought laser surface may help as the colour of the scars give them most of he promenance...

I see them all the time but i guess this is because I am so aware of them?

Im seeing Dr Chu in June.. Apparently he is brilliant?

Oh and i feel the area as a whole has lost tissue? It seems depressed as a area.

Hi all.

Week and a bit on, swelling has gone and it seems that most scars have bound straight back down..

Advice: Do you think its worth going again? Plan to do with Dr Chu this time.. Or anything else? Have ordered a Dermaroller but am i right in saying this won't help anything if they are bound down...

Secondly, does fillers after subscision help to stop them binding down in the long run? As i just need them to not re depress?

Photos attached of week after treatment. Thanks all!post-374044-0-42126500-1399055512_thumb.post-374044-0-03669200-1399055533_thumb.post-374044-0-42126500-1399055512_thumb.

Can anyone recommend any treatment or advice for in between subscision and needling?

My initial subscision has had very minimal effect.. Hoping subscision and fillers will do more?
