I've been battling with acne scars for near 3 years both red and dark brown.

I suffer from hormonal acne exacerbated by very oily combo skin, I still suffer now as you can see on the pictures attached but the breakouts aren't as severe as what caused the original marks in the first place.

These marks will not fade I've tried waiting it out a year plus, lemon juice, retin a and hydroquinone (which caused the skin around the marks to get lighter but did nothing for the brown skin)

Please if you have any suggestions Its gone beyond depressing now!

I would add in an AHA nightly for the acne and for the marks to see if it helps a bit. I use a glycolic acid toner but they sell an AHA lotion on this site that is 10% glycolic acid so I would try that. It should help with everything and then when you are totally clear then you can try IPL's for the red and brown spots. It works on everything and is easy and simple with hardly any downtime. You need to go to a reputable place that does many passes on each spot to get good results. If you are nervous have them do a test spot and see how your skin responds. They usually start out at a lower setting and work their way up providing your skin can handle it. Also if you do decide to use the AHA or get the IPL's you must make sure to wear at least an SPF 30 everyday.
