Fraxel Reassurance

Hi all,

I just received my first non ablative fraxel treatment 2 days ago for minor scarring on the sides of my face and now I'm paranoid I've made a huge mistake. I keep reading horror stories about track marks, orange peel skin, fat loss, skin getting worse in the long run, etc. I have very sensitive skin and I got superficial blisters from the treatment although I did have an expert dr perform the treatment. I completely regret this already and am anxious about the outcome being awful. I feel like I already see an indentation on one side of my cheek and I still see track marks and the skin is brown. Is there anyone that has positive reassuring info about their fraxel experience? Thanks in advance.

What you are seeing is normal. Did you indeed get Fraxel Restore? It's not one of those imitation nonablavtive lasers right? I haven't tried nonablative lasers but I have a close friend who has and this seems in line with what happens after the procedure. No point in freaking out right now. Just monitor it closely.

Non-ablative lasers tend to have lower chances of causing harm, but it all depends on your genetics, the skill level of doctor, and how much sunlight you avoid after the treatment.

Do you have actual blisters, similar to a burn blister? If so, I'd ask your doctor if that's normal. I've only tried ablative lasers and never experienced blisters. I did have track marks, scabs, peeling, swelling & brown skin, so I'd say that's normal.
