I began getting horrendous acne only around my mouth about a year ago and it has caused a multitude of huge purple, red and brownish marks. I am taking akamin, clindatech, and washing my face with neutrogena acne scrub twice a day. They have not faded at all and I have tried so many things to help. The skin feels smooth where the marks are and yet there are fat marks all around my mouth. WHAT DO I DO?!?? I have attached a photo of the marks. Thanks
If there's no active acne, you get Microdermabrasion done. I can't say if it'll work for you but I used to get it done to smooth out my skin and all my red marks disappeared. Mine weren't bad so it took 2 treatments...it would probably take more than 2 treatments to get rid of your marks. I paid $85 per session (not sure how much it is in your area). I'm actually going back in a couple of weeks to help with some new red marks.
