Hi guys,

I decided to give skin needling a chance. Recently I got my second subscision and I think my deepest scars aren`t that harsh anymore, so I now want to improve the skin texture and also smooth the rest of my mild to moderate scarring.

I tried to use the forum seach, but it`s either not working or did it wrong. I would be very greatful if you can refer me to a legit source where I can see the basics. I'm sure these questions has been answered thousands times here, but what I need to know is:

Is dermastamp better targeting individual scars?

Can I combine dermaroller and dermastamp for best results?

What needle size should I pick for real results - 0.5,1.0,1.5?

How often should I roll/stamp?

How agressive/intesive and how long?

Should I start carefully and gradually increase the parameters - needle size, intesity, rolling time?

What is the downtime? Or How long the redness and swelling lasts?

When can I expect some results?

What pre/post rolling products should I use?

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks, Nicky

I would go to a professional and get Genuine Dermaroller treatments. However, if you can't afford it and/or are set on doing it at home, here's my advice.

- Dermastamp is better for treating isolated scars

- You can combine a stamp and roller.

- 1.5mm is needed to really affect scarring

- Treatments should be 6-8 weeks apart

- Don't stop until you've achieved pin point bleeding. Your skin should be very red. This doesn't mean rolling/stamping away at your skin until it's a bloody mess.

- Yes, start gradually until you are more comfortable with the pain and your technique is good.

- Downtime shouldn't be more than 3-4 days. Meaning yor face looks sunburnt, not scabby.

- Results take a looooong time. You need to be patient.

- Use hyaluronic acid serum post rolling. No 'actives' for a few days pre and post roll.

Hope that helps!

Thanks DJM204

Unfortuantely I doubt I'll find such professional in my country.

So I don`t need to bother with 1mm needles(even at the beginning) and I should directly start with 1.5? On amazon I also see 2mm, 2.5 and even

3mm rollers/stamps, has anybody used them at home?

Is it a good idea ot use tretinoin in the "rock & roll" days? :)

Sorry, English is not my native, what do you mean by?

No 'actives' for a few days pre and post roll.

Please do not use anything longer than 1.5mm at home. You are asking for trouble, IMO.

Actives are things like Vit A, Vit C, benzoyl peroxide, etc. anything chemical/medicinal. Or at least that's my interpretation.

Good luck!
