hey just let you know that the fat transfer isnt permanat it would like 6 months before you would need it again but the results on those time are good so good luck.

I'm not trying to be mean or argue, but fat transfer is permanent. The only thing is, is that not all of it stays. It varies from person to person & most of the times more than one procedure is necessary. Trust me, I have done numerous amounts of research on this.

If you do super charged/stem cell enriched fat grafting I don't think you will have to do fat transfer multiple times. Also some surgeons use prp to enhance fat transfer.

Yes, I have heard about that, I'm thinking I will only need to get it a couple of times to be happy with my results.

1st pic was taken april 2013. 2nd pic was taken feb1 2014.

the 1st pic was before restylane/ anytpe of dermroll /topical.

2nd pic is 9months post restylane, 6 months dermroll with topicals

wow those before/after pics are impressive! however i wonder how long they actually last for.. I'm contemplating seeing Dr. Coleman or Dr, Victor for fat grafting in the near future..

i found a good vid that compares the survival rate of regular fat graft vs fat graft enriched stem cells..

Dr. Rahimi does a pretty nice job.

I saw the same image a couple of months ago and was amazed by the outcome, however, I wonder how soon this was taken (it could just be due to the swelling). I have already set up an appointment with Dr. Rahimi next week to get his opinion on what can be done on my scars. I am already pretty set up subcision and fat grafting. I lost weight from my face and my scarring looks a lot worse now . I'll keep you guys updated - I'll take pics and everything before and after I get it done .

You first need to know how to safely excise fat from the body and properly insert it into your scarring, and then possess all the medical equipment to be able to do so.

So, I'm gonna go ahead and say "no".

This should not be done by anybody but a doctor.

Just wanted to add that Dr. Rahimi does do stem cell fat transfer (I thought they were just straight fat injections) and he stores the fat. To quote his blog:

Spinning the fat using the Coleman centrifuge allows more dense and compacted

fat to be placed deep into the dermis and lower epidermal layer. The fat is placed after subsicion
and using blunt-tipped 16 and 18 gauge Coleman needles.
A certain percentage of this living "Graft" will establish a micro-circulation and "take" after about 2 weeks.
PRP and micro-droplet techniques help increase the percentage of the fat that will survive the implantation.
The concentrated fat is mixed with PRP (plasma Rich Platelets) and Autologous stem cells.
About 60 cc of the patients blood are centrifuged using the Harvest System.
This results in 2-3 cc of PRP and stem cell that can be used in a variety of ways.
Recovery 3 days to 7 days
Cost: $1500 to $3500
Basically, from what I'm reading, he's mixing your fat with your blood to hopefully have it stay and not get absorbed (since there are stem cells found in blood due to the bone marrow).:/....Hmm....doubt this would be as effective as the way they did it in the video above.

guys I'm seriously thinking about having my scars treated with the regular fat graft (w pure graft system). This seems like the best route for me and frankly waiting for the stem cell fat graft (w celution) feels like an eternity so i may just go with what is currently available on the market.. out of all the plastic surgeons Dr. Kamran Jafri appears to have the most knowledge and experience with fat grafts.. has good reviews too..

however before i go ahead with this idea i would like to know if anyones had experience with him? or has knowledge of any other plastic surgeon that performs fat grafting well in the NY or NJ area. if so please inform me

here are 2 links regarding Dr. Kamran Jafri

So I haven't wrote on here for awhile and I hope you are all doing well! Thank you ALL for all of your posts, comments, tips, experiences and so on.

I wanted to know if you all could post your fat graft experience, reputable doctors that provide fat grafts (in the United States) and pictures. Please explain the recovery process for a fat graft and the downtime.

Many of us on this board would appreciate it! :)

As for me, I have been dermastamping for about a year now, I have had so so results, but I'm not very aggressive, so I think I'm going to start doing more aggressive treatments. I realize now, that most of my scarring is actually from fat loss, so that's why I'm so interested in a fat graft.

BUMP
