Hes been on "this morning" on ITV as their skin expert guy and has had a wrote up in some magazine like tatler in which they discuss the best kept secret skin specialists in London. He's very nice and approachable and doesn't give u the hard sell. I actually found a review on him on acne.org and then googled his website. He's got a positive review on Realself.com as well.
It's not just about the fillers though
. The way in which the filler is injected into your skin is key to how the EnerJet is unique. Because it's pneumatically driven the HA solution is injected so quickly into your skin it instantly spreads laterally (I believe it's a 1cm by 1cm area in each injection), causing a subcision-like effect. From there, it helps to hold your skin up while your body produces more collagen... so eventually, as the HA solution is absorbed, your skin should be healing itself naturally. It's a little like a subcision and filler in one.
Click here for How it works. Note "Figure 3" - Lateral dispersion of the HA induces an injury effect triggering collagen generation.
Fat loss is a whole different game though I think.
Ok i see what you mean but i still think that once the filler wears off it may sink back down again. I've had lots of subcisions and the scars still look the same although they are no longer tethered. So having the the Enerjet would probably just give a temporary result for me.
Jaamber which scars would you say responded better, the boxcars or the rolling scars? Also do you have any before/after photos? I've seen Dr Patel too but i didn't have the best experience unfortunately.
Enerjet does sound quite promising, but the filler part does worry me somewhat. Although it is great to hear of a success story.
no-hope - how are you feeling about your treatment now? Your posts on Enerjet have given me some hope.
JustmeUk - I am in the UK also and having a long journey trying to source a top class derm/surgeon. Why was your experience with Dr Patel not so great? I had a flicker of hope reading about his 'magical talents'.
What is it about the fillers that worries you?
The main thing is a temporary effect. I wouldn't have the finances or the mental energy to keep having to have the procedure done all my life. I would also be worried about a lumpy affect if not done correctly. And a major thing, I would be really worried about is what Justme UK said also - that the skin may sink or sag once the fillers have absorbed.

you guys have to understand enerjet isnt just about filler. its basically subcision and filler in one. the subcsion part of the method is what gives long lasting improvement. i dont understand why people only think its about filler

No_Hope is right. The goal of the Airgent/EnerJet is being totally misunderstood here. It is NOT about the fillers, it's about the trauma/wound response that the body goes into after having the treatments. The filler is supposed to be temporary and is purely the fluid that is utilised by the system. The fact that you get immediate improvement is a bonus. It's the long term collagen remodelling process that is why you are having these treatments, and not for the filler. Thus, you would not be going in for treatments for the rest of your life. I (and I am sure No_Hope agrees) would encourage people to go take a look at their website and try to understand the mechanics behind it before wondering/stressing about what it does. The answers are out there...

I do understand that it is not all about the fillers. I have researched it naturally, so understand the process. However fillers have always worried me - temporary or not. I think most of us are concerned of ending up with an outcome that was worse than we started. It is a good thing to be concerned and be prepared.
I do worry too much though and will get nowhere if I don't take the plunge and get anything more invasive than a facial lol.
I was not knocking the treatment, no-hope said it worked well for him and I trust that and it is very inspiring. That is what these boards are for to share and learn. Your posts on needling have given me great hope also. Your right, there are answers out there

I am looking into getting the Enerjet treatment myself. For those who live on the east coast in the states, there are 4 options up in Ontario.
So I contacted one of the clinics closest to my location and asked about long term results of Enerjet. I was told that a series of 3 treatments are needed for "optimal" results. Results are supposedly good up to 5 years in which a followup treatment is recommended after. I asked about the correlation between the application of Enerjet and subsicion and I am waiting for followup call from the doctor.
Does anyone know what the difference between the old Airgent and new Enerjet machine is?
I would be interested whether there is a difference between airgent and enerjet as well.
According to the doctor i spoke to about 4 months ago, the company just renamed the machine.
Moreover, i don't want to spread negativity here, but i think its important to have realistic expectations
about airgent. I had one treatement and it did absolutely nothing for my scars, i had zero improvment
(i have moderate to severe rolling scars). My doctor used an excuse to exclude me from the study i
was taking part in. I think she did it in order to have a statistically better overall success rate when
concluding the study and summing up the results of the patients.
GuyGermany,
Thanks for the feedback.
Where and when did you receive your treatment?

Great so it takes 5 years until we have to go again maybe he means as the skin ages we will lose more collagen?
Yep

Anyone knows if this can be done if you are not a UK or Canadian citizen? I am from Sweden.
Hey guys, I am very happy for you that it seems to work out great, I have two questions for you if you have time.
1. How long do you think this will last? Is it a permanent change or will the change go out after a couple of years? So you will do it again after x years?
2. I live in Sweden and as far as I know, there are no Enerjets or Airgents here , do you think it is possible to fly to UK/Canada and get it done there?
you had it done for free!?!? your sooo luckkyyy. im glad you had good results with the enerjet. america is slow at receiving treatments for some reason lol. theres only 2 places that have it in all of canada
I'm new to this forum just created an account here to let u know about a treatment I had 3 weeks ago because I am so impressed with the results!! I live in the UK and went to see Dr Tapan Patel at Viva Clinic in Golders Green after suffering from moderate acne scarring on my cheeks (boxcars on left cheek and rolling on right). Dr Patel asked me if I would like to become involved for a trial he was doing for enerjet treatment - free of charge! Of course I jumped at the chance. Enerjet works by injecting fillers into the scars using a machine with a very fine but 6mm deep needle. It injects the filler with such force the filler disperses into the skin under the scar and acts like subsision breaking the scar tissue teathering the scar down and the filler raises it up.
I have had my acne scars since a really bad cystic acne attack aged 18 which lasted about a year. It was so bad I was suicidal at the time! It cleared up when I started taking diannette contraceptive pills. I learnt to live with the scars as I really thought there was no treatment for them. I have tried derma rolling, stamping and chemical peels with little effect.
Three weeks after the enerjet treatment I would say there is about a 50% improvement in the scars!! I have to go back for a second treatment in a few weeks. Some of the scars - I've counted about 14 - were really deeply pitted just below my left ear but they are so faint now I can cover them with make up and they are barely noticeable now.
I thought I would let you know if my experience just to give some hope!!! I know how low the scarring can get you - my scars are really old (I turn 40 in a few weeks) and I really had given up on the scars ever looking better. I am so happy!!!
I forgot to add I had fraxel as well at a different clinic. It made no difference to my scars whatso ever - expensive waste of money!
I asked the dr that when I had mine done and he said as it's similar to subscision the results may be permanent. I've got a second session on 28th of this month. Will report back then. There's no reason why u can't fly here to get it done but that's pretty expensive for you!

Yeah, that is great. Because this is so new I can only find you two guys that has made it so far, and you both have had positive results, do you know a site where more people had it so you can watch?
I'd wager it is worth it
Zavvy private messaged me but unfortunately I can't reply via private message (not sure why). You asked me if the results are still the same, yes they are but I only had the first treatment end of july so it's only been 4 months. I think fillers start to break down after 9 months to a year. By then I hope the skin would have healed enough that my results are permanent. Have second enerjet session next week. I'm really excited.
