I am absolutely confused to how these patients achieved these results with laser!?!?!?!?? after reading so many reviews i was convinced laser cannot improve boxcarr/ice pick only rolling but from the looks of these pics it seems otherwise. the pictures dont look photo shopped either. what do yall think?

Laser is never my recommendation. I am a medical student and have been researching on skin problems and I've always found non-surgical treatment safer than surgical ones. Laser and related stuff are not reliable as far as i have judged. I can't really say about the pictures. Who knows they can or cannot be fake.

i think that lasers achieve good results, but depend first, on skills of doctor and how he can use laser to treat scars , and second on laser machine, while i'm searching , i found new laser machine,it's called smartXide 2 dot/RF from DEKA , the machine combine co2 laser with radio frequency technology , and results look impressive , http://www.dekalaser.com/en-GB/productba.aspx? item=samrt1, http://www.dearappresentanze.it/deka/valutazioni_cliniche/smartxide2_prime_2012_03.pdf

Search the forum. We have discussed this medspa in the past and I consulted with them 2 years ago. They have YouTube videos on Total FX and don't even offer the laser. Don't believe everything you see on the Internet. I wouldn't trust this company at all. Stay clear of them!

I disagree. Fractional Co2 laser has changed my life. Nothing else could have improved my scars.

dam i knew it was too good to be true! did you have any luck on fixing your scars inspired?

IMO before and after photos are worthless. Remember, these people want your money so there's a powerful motivation for them to put after photos that show a person's skin literally in the best possible light and before photos that show it in the worst possible light. Also, as the other person said there could be micro swelling in the ones you've highlighted.

There was a personal trainer who showed recently how easy it is to prodcue very impressive transformation photos by altering a few variables like clothing, lighting etc. Basically his message was do not trust transformation photos. Personally I think the same applies to other appearance medicine photos.

Inspired and I have actual first hand experience and success with fractionalized ablative lasers. She did the DeepFX and I did Re:pair. Whatever the source, the results in those photos is not unreasonable at all. They were achieved with multiple treatments, but they are achievable. Remember Ernesto, and go with what makes sense to you. The naysayers would tell me what worked for me doesn't work. ROTFLMAO

P.S. Always do laser in the fall or winter to avoid the sun.

Laser debate aside, the lighting in these pictures are totally inconsistent. Some have harsh overhead lighting in the befores, but the afters are taken with flash, which can hide scars very well (I should know). Also, these med spa type places tend to push packages. Don't ever buy a package deal, because who knows if it will even work for you.

I tried Smartxide, was no wroth it, did it 4x. If you go with lasers then you must go Total FX or Fraxel RePair.

Do you happen to know what settings were used? The smartxide can go anywhere from a tiny erbium type peel to full ablation. If your doctor did only 4 light peels then you most likely won't see any improvement.

If you don't know the settings - can you tell us the timeframe you did the treatments in? If the doctor did 4 treatments in 4 months - then he most likely wasn't going aggressive enough. If you did 4 treatments over a course of 2 years and didn't see improvement then I'm sorry to hear that and hope you get the improvements you want with the deepfx/re:pair/scaarfx.

I did it 2x a year for 2 years, I did get improvement, but I wont be doing it anymore(was not worth it). My next laser once summer is over will be Fraxel RePair or Total FX, I will keep you updated on the results. I was peeling 5 days after Smartxide if that helps and stayed red for 2-3 weeks after the laser, unfortunately at that time I did not ask about the settings.
