this is terrible.

i recently came across a post written around 2007 suggesting the use of Panoxyl 10% BP wash as a method of removing bacne scars. the response was very positive. most said the treatment worked for them. the author basically applied the wash daily and left it on all day & after seven days was able to peel off the skin. it was, of course, a painful process.

i always read the comments to see the feedback of others, and almost all of them agreed that this was a speedy and effective method to ridding bacne scars.

one of the comments suggested using head and shoulders as an alternative. i did so because i don't have a store that sells the panoxyl.

I've been applying it for about 4 days. at this point my back is so damaged it's unreal. some parts are extremely dark & look like they could possibly peel with time. others are just extremely red and painful. my lower back is just extremely dry & looks like its covered with millions of miniscule scabs. my shoulders areas are leathery & dry & EXTREMELY wrinkly.

i was hoping i could just peel it, but I've tried everything and it won't come off. I'm all researched out. i can find no solutions online. I'm desperate. please. any suggestions?

head & shoulder shampoo is used on anything that's fungal.

do u think ur back acne is fungal?

if not,then it wont work.

what shampoo or soap do u use?

what are the things u've tried till date to get rid of ur acne?

This method will only damage your skin further. Peeling off chunks of skin is going to result in more severe scarring and could even become infected.

I'd much rather have an acne scar than a deep pitted one on my back. Never listen to people with such outlandish ideas.

Refer to the scar forums more recent posts and look at scar treatments that can be performed by a dermatologist. You should never attempt to remove skin yourself using chemicals.

Wash off any H&S you currently have on and cover the lesions to prevent infection occurring. It well then scab and fall off on it's own. Don't pick it, you'll just get an even bigger unsightly scar in place of your original one.

no,that is not what i was asking.

i was asking if u know that bacterial acne will have no effect on use on h&s.

also, keeping it all day is very bad for the epidermis & dermis of ur skin.

so i was asking if u have tried other tricks or methods for ur acne?

as for soap & shampoos, sometimes products cause issues so i was wandering if changing them for a while will show some good result.

u can look into regimen.

if for any reason u cant, then check if they are hormonal and/or diet related.

also,go for a mild bha wash.
