Scarring On Back/shoulders - Effective Treatment / Short-Term Fixes?

Hi friends, as you can see from the picture I have pretty severe looking scars on my shoulders/back. I jsut finished my accutane 6 month course and It has completely cleared up my face, which I'm happy with. However, would have been more happy if my back and shoulders were better as well.

 

Can anyone suggest any short-term fixes where I could maybe cover up these scars with some sort of concealer or make-up products? Also if you have any suggestions concercing treatments that could possibly improve the overall look of the situation, I would be happy to read and try your suggestions.

The pink hyperpigmentation will fade with use of a Retinoid or AHA product. White pigmented scars usually take a very very long time to fade. I wouldn't go wearing makeup there, especially since it's summertime because it more than likely will cause breakouts.

Cosign w/melmel... AHA will help tremendously w/hyper pigmentation... You should cover your back as much as possible while use AHA, as it will make you photosensitive and make the scarring appear darker... In a few months, you'll be clear of the hyper pigmentation but now it's a matter of prevention... Good luck and keep us up to date on your progress... :)
