I have come to the conclusion that I am going to have to get an ablative laser (Fraxel Re:pair or DeepFX) done if I want to see improvement on my scarring. I have read some horror stories but I have also read about people getting great results. Now clearly the most important part is the doctor doing the procedure. With other procedures I have read about top docs. For example Dr Y for Dermabrasion and Dr Rapaport for subcision. Is there any consensus for the best docs using a laser for treating acne scars? As I do not want to mess this up and choose the wrong doctor, I do not care about price or location. (within the United States)
I don't personally think there's a huge difference if someone is the "best" laser doc or a "good" laser doc in terms of results. I think it's more important they specialize in acne scars AND be good with the laser. Someone who does combination treatments would be best (laser + subcision + tca cross for example.) If location doesn't matter for you - you should look into doing dermabrasion/fractional co2 + recell in the uk. Personally I think it would reduce some of the risks.
I'm not sure who the top laser docs are though.
