I remember my crossed scars being quite swollen at least for the first week, so it could be just that. Most likely it isn't a permanent change since you're still in the recovery phase. The area looks like it it might be inflamed though, are you on any antibiotics now? If you have any signs of inflammation around the treated scars, you should go on antibiotics in my opinion.

Ok thanks austra, its hard not to freak out but I will try and wait it out. I went to my local doctor today and she says it doesn't look infected but I will probably have to wait to hear back from my derm as he's so busy. Thanks for replying!
