Hey there guys I've been reading this forum for 2 weeks now I've acne and a lot of blemishes all over my face , what I found interesting is ACV so I started using it for 2 weeks & I noticed it improved my blemishes but did nothing to my acne , so today I want to start a new experiement of applying "URINE and ACV" before I go to bed , do you guys reckon its a good idea ?

Well you can read here : www.acne.org/urine-therapy-reviews/524/page1.html & I've found that urine actually works better with acne then ACV (my experience)

I've tried this too and it actually works amazingly good. The urine does put off a bad smell so you might just want to just mix it with something and drink it if you're worried about the smell.

Sorry but considering how many effective treatments are out there for active acne making the choice to drink one's own urine is a joke.

Have you tried it? Urine has natural acidic contents that are great for the face and doesn't taste too bad. The key for me was to not drink my own urine... but drink the urine of someone else like my dads since my urine wasn't as healthy looking and pure. It doesn't hurt to try, you may be surprised at the results Mr. fox.

I'm female.

No I would not try it. I would not even consider it. It's just plain disgusting and there is no chance of it improving my health or my scarring.

I wish you the best anyway!

Wow.. this is pretty ridiculous. It's well documented that consuming urine can be toxic. If you really want to go natural why not try something that has been proven to work well for some people such as tea tree oil (natural disinfectant). It's non-drying since it's an essential oil so you can rub however much you want all over your face without worrying about drying and damging the skin like with benzoyl peroxide or other astringents. It's the only thing besides accutane that has worked for me (and i've been on 6 prescription medications, and several natural remedies).

You don't neccessarily need to consume the urine, i actually prefer to use my dad's urine as a toner at night or in the morning as soon as he wakes up. It also has worked just as well as any other natural remedy, but i will agree that it is a bit drying if you apply it directly on the face so defiently use a moisturizer before applying the urine.

What you are talking about is urine therapy. I've read about it in a book (Health in your hands by Devendra Vora- Its a very famous book in India)

The principle is poison fights poison I guess. That is how I understand it. So I think you should use your own urine.

I'm typing the instructions from the book for you- "Warm the first urine, let it cool down. The crust has to be removed. Soak cotton in this lukewarm urine and massage it on the skin for 2-5 min. Before doing so, massage ice on the affected parts for 2-3 min. Later, wash with clean water."

I'm not saying this won't work for active acne as I've never tried it (and never will). But as Dudley said, this is a scar forum. I fail to see how urine is going to help with scarring. Also, rinakaushik's post above with the directions of use made me feel queezy, lol!

I've also heard of the urine therapy and pretty much do all the steps you mention except for the urine never has "crust". Although, i still prefer to use my dad's urine rather than my own. It gave me better results and even tasted better.

Have you guys ever tried the "Golden Shower" method?

The concept of urine therapy does not appeal to me. I was merely trying to assist you.

I still feel that you should use your own, else the point of poison fighting poison is lost.

Do be careful with this. I suggest you get a book with proper instructions.
