Ain't Plastic Surgeon Supposed To Do His Job And Do What You Tell Him To?

Well, if you're sure, then go see another plastic surgeon. But honestly, my surgical scar doesn't look too different from the biggest of your acne scar - the only difference is that there are some stitch marks in the scar. I have a friend with similar back scarring as yours and hers has faded a lot over the years and doesn't stand out that much, although it's still there.

I forgot to say that my excision was done by an inexperienced GP with no aftercare whatsoever, so if you get a plastic surgeon, use silicone sheets or steri-strips afterwards and try to avoid too much movement and stretching of the skin (fairly impossible, though), then the chances are you'll get a better result than me. Although I have read plastic surgeons say that excisions in the back area hardly ever have nice cosmetic results, especially in situations where you're trading a mole for a scar.

The guy had laser tattoo removal which resulted in hypertrophic? scarring, but on the third and fourth picture his scars gone. How's that possible??

Do you know if its actually scarring? It looks like it could be just blisters etc based on the picture.

Thats definitely not scarring its just swelling post procedure.

DamnLife - I thought about what the Dr's said to you again and also remembered: you have so many scars and you need enough skin for them to stitch up. If the skin is stretched too much after removal, they will just end up hypertrophic again. I think if you were to just pick the ones that bother you the most and get them removed you might be able to find a doctor to do it more easily.

There's no other way around.

Lasers - most of them used only for facial acne scars, IPL is not even consider laser and it sucks btw, PDL almost the same as IPL with different name...

The only laser left is Nd:Yag or Fraxel Re:Store which was recommended to me by my derm but I really doubt it will work.

Injections - Don't even know why they are used, maybe they work for someone, for me it hasn't done much of an improvement...

Cryotherapy - Would flatten but damage my skin furthermore so now here.

So the only real solution is to cut them out and then do the laser (just don't know which one eusa_think.gif )
