Heya everybody,
Just had subcision today!
Pretty bruised up!
The actual procedure took about 20 minutes at most with the doctor spending about 30 seconds under each scar.
I came in, they took me to the bathroom and had me wash my face.
The nurse then took before pictures of the left side, right side, and a front shot in some machine that looks like a "photo booth".
I was then taken to the room, where my face was sterilized and marked for the shots.
The shots weren't bad at all! In fact I found myself partially falling asleep while the doctor was injecting me (I guess lack of sleep will do that for ya!).
They had me wait for about 30-40 minutes after administering the shots (for complete numbness i guess), so I got a good half hour sleep there as well 
During the procedure, I was closely listening to the snapping sounds and visualizing which scar he was undermining at that moment. Most of the rolling scars had 3-7 snapping sounds per scar. The boxcars had absolutely 0 snapping sounds so my only hope there is collagen remodeling!
Its been about 11 hours since the procedure and I'm very swollen.
The doctor hit around 25 or so scars, but afterwards I noticed he missed A LOT of scars on my right side probably due to the fact that I have many rolling scars there that formed a one huge scar that looks flat with rolling scars around it (optical illusion).
The doctor performed subcision on my temples, forehead,chin and cheeks (I don't think the arteries in the temples and the chin pose a great danger if your doctor knows what hes doing).
Not sure what needle the doc used but the entry points are REALLY tiny, as if it was a sewing needle!
Was prescribed Mupirocin 2% Cream and will be applying it twice a day.
In two days, I am planning to begin suctioning the subcised scars in hopes of greater improvement.
All in all, I signed up for a package of 7 subcisions and this was the first one!
My scarring is very extensive so 7 sounds about right, but we will see!
I'm due to go back in about 8 weeks, where they will take the after photos and do a 2nd subcision. If there's noticeable improvement, I'll ask for the photos and post them.
I did not bother taking before photos with my own camera as I know i will never be able to replicate exact angle and lighting, which may lead to pictures showing more or less improvement. The photo booth at the doctors office takes pictures in exact same angle and lighting so assessing results from those will be the best choice!

P.S. If you are thinking of getting this procedure and are scared, go for it! It is really not bad at all!

Acnescar123 yeah I can upload a few pictures. My scarring is pretty bad. Figure 5 years of cystic acne plus chickenpox at 22 years old. Chickenpox played a trick on me!!! Attacked at the worst time!
These were taken in a restaurant setting (back lighting) with a cannon 5D mark II and flashes so it really shows the scarring!
This was taken exactly a year ago right after chickenpox. Since then I've had 1 bad breakout which messed up my left cheek even further. I lost my phone few months ago and lost the recent pics.
This is probably the worst shots of my scars to date. There are scars on these pictures that I didn't even know existed... LOL

Those scars look more like boxcar/ small circular scars - not really rolling scars (I have similar type scarring unfortunately). Interested to see how this turns out for you as noone really posts about subcision for these types of scars - hope it goes well.
Actually most of them are rolling scars It doesn't look like it in the pictures but they are 80% rolling. I heard snapping during the procedure as well.
Its kind of funny too because my right side is my worst side lol. Once I get pictures from my doctor I can show you what i mean
