From what I have read, DeepFX and Fraxel Re:pair seem to be pretty similar procedures for acne scarring. At the moment, I have an appointment to get DeepFX done in a few weeks. My derm told me that I would have lasting redness/pinkness that would take 3+ months to fade. I have been reading some logs and reviews on people that have gotten Fraxel Re:pair done and it seems that the downtime is a lot less. Maybe I am missing something but do DeepFX and Fraxel Re:pair deliver similar results but Fraxel Re:pair's redness and downtime is a lot less?

Both lasers are pretty much the same/have the same downtime + results. Only thing that effects the downtime is the treatment settings.

It's good that your derm is giving you realistic expectations rather than saying "You'll be good to go in 2 days"

Yea she said that for me to get the results that I want that she would have to use a high setting. This is such a stressful decision as so much can go wrong with lasers I feel like but I really want some improvement. She literally stressed to me 10 times what the downtime would be so I appreciate her honesty.
