I feel hurt and lost at this point
My skin has gotten a tad bit better less bumps but now these marks
I have tendency to pick but i know i didnt pick as much as how many little tiny pick marks i have
Im using proactiv for about a month or so but mid way i switch to exposed because of all the reviews i had read (exposed help none) so i decided to switch to proactiv which was helping at one point my skin looked decent but i swear random days like today my skin is tender red and sore. Even if i trying moisturizing no help. I used an egg whites mask today which is why im extra red. But can someone help me diagnose what these scar are or what may have caused them? is it horomonal or diet related? Also its a both sides of my face forehead is pretty clear.
Heres what i have been on for the last couple weeks
Proactiv morning and night
Sulfur mask at night on big pimples
Cetaphil at night before i do my proactiv to remove makeup
vitamin i take the vegan hair skin and nail
fish oil 350 mg
also i got back on birth control Nuvaring which I have been on since jan.
Im thinking of trying acne.org kit or am i just a loss cause at this point...? please someone help
sorry for these ugly photos...and horrible camera quality im very insecure to even put these up.... if youd like to see what my acne looked like in december/jan look at my gallery
I also apologize if this is the wrong forum
I think you have what I do--it's either subdermal pitting and ice pick scars or pigmentation. Kojic acid, vitamin C, copper, retinoids...all supposed to help.
I feel for you. This crap is as bad as the acne, frankly. I feel hideous and can't look people in the face. (And right now, having been on aldactone for four years, my skin is so thin even the ingredients I listed don't help much, but I'm also doing laser hair removal. So stupid of me.) The only thing that ever helped me was Accutane. Aldactone keeps the major cysts at bay but now I have about 50% of what you do. (I'm on 50 mg.) I'd see a derm if I were you.
Honey, I'll be honest with you. Sure the redness and pigmentation looks bad but some people (me for example) have it worst. I currently have dark pigmentation over my rolling scars and it creates an illusion of deeper more serious scarring. Fortunately, all of my acne are gone but I am left with horrible scarring and pigmentation.
MY STORY ON HOW I GOT RID OF MY ACNE (not the pigmentation... yet)
At some point 2 years ago I was like "What the hell!!! I am never going to be handsome again. My social life is basically non existant". So i stopped using ALL of my acne medications and etc. I just started using Canus Goat Milk soap on my face as well as my body and exfoliate once a week with fine sea salt (no anything added). After a couple of months my skin looked 70% clearer!!!!!!!!!! I was honestly shocked!!! At that point I was convinced that nothing in the beauty industry will make your face look better. OHHHHH boy....... And girl I have tried EVERYTHING from high end creams and cleanser to over the counter products. I also have been to more than 8 different dermatologist (all of them are useless). If you are not sure you about going to a derm you should go and check what your doctor has to offer, you never know it might just work for you. We are all different and what works for others may not work for you.
Also using makeup and concealer gave me acne as well. I think it might have been the silicones. Some people like me are allergic to makeup and the skin will never tolerate it. If you can, try going out with no makeup at all.
BTW always check the reviews and ratings of each product you are thinking of buying. In MAKEUPALLEY (MUA) Pro active got 38% would purchase it again. And nobody liked the sulfur mask too!!! Go back to the basics and listen to your own skin not the the people that tell you what you do.
Ask questions to yourself such as "What can I do that my skin will like?". There are many calming agents out there, but only a third of those or even less will help you. Try researching about niacinamide (Vtamin B), Homemade vitamin C, soothing milk based or water based creams and cleansers. Give each product a 3 day trial, if it doesnt work try another one until you find the one. Curing acne is like dating. You will never know until you give it a try.
Edit: Excuse my poor english
Wow thanks for all the advice especially the poster above, yeah my skin is literally haunting me and my self esteem is low. Finding a job is hard when i feel people are judging my skin. Its a journey im really trying to find what works for me.
Im really thinking of trying the regimen im near desperate.
