I see a video online that shows it is good for red marks. However i also read a review from someone who had it done and got dark spots. This procedure i read says it is 30 minutes and is good for skin and has no downtime.
I have never heard about this until recently. All i heard are tca, glycolic , salicyclic peels.
Some people swear by chemical peels and others have not had positive results. From what I understand is that you should definitely go to a professional that has good reviews for your first chemical peel, dont try to do it at home (I have heard of too many horror stories with this). It may be more expensive going to a professional, but its your face we are talking about and we want to give it the best Also dont do chemical peels if you are using a retinoid, or other topical medication that may thin the epidermis of your skin. But in the end the best bet would be to ask a professional what you want done and the concerns about side effects that you have, hopefully the person will be knowledgeable and will help minimize any possible side effects. Good luck and I wish you the best
Yes i know not to do a chemical peel on my face.
I know that you can only do a silk peel at a dermatologist from what i read. Would like info from anyone that has done a silk peel. It seems like you need a good amount of them to be done even more so than a chemical peel?
Sorry for some reason I did not see silk peel and just saw peel and thought chemical, so that was my fault. A silk peel is relatively safer than standard chemical peels as you can use it on sensitive skin and in combination of other topical medications. Usually there are multiple treatments that are spaced out for a few weeks. Depending on the cost, I would say it doesnt hurt to give it a try. I just asked my roommate about it, she is a dermatologist, and she says some people try it at the practice she works at and it has shown more positive results than a microdermabrasion.
