Post-Acne Wounds Peeling - Right Treatment?

Hello,

My question might be a bit silly, but I'm at my wits end with this. I had some cystic pimples in clusters and of course, I managed to overdry them with creams. Now they are peeling off, but when a new layer of skin is revealed, it is still dry and flaky, not fresh new skin.

What is the right treatment in this case:

- To apply more drying cream to speed up peeling?

- Or is it exactly this cream that overdries the new skin as well? Shall I just leave it alone and let it resolve itself?

I just wanna get rid of them soon, obviously.

Thanks!

I would probably just use a regular moisturizer if the skin is dry, and otherwise leave them be.

I agree with Austra, the cream has done its job in sucking those pimples dry but I would lay off it now and let your skin heal. smile.png It won't take long for the dryness to subside. Creams that are designed to dry pimples out will dry the skin around it out as well, especially if they're Vitamin A based.

Good luck!
