Ok, I had suffered from severe acne. So I took roaccutane from 2011 January til 2011 July. I'm glad with the result so far. I have some occasional breakout, but not as serious as the one before on roaccutane.
All I can say is roaccutane say my life. (For those of you still not sure whether to go for roaccutane because of the so-called side effects, I can guarantee you with my mother's grave, you'll be alright. The most you get is chapped lips)
But now the aftermath of acne, acne scar. I'm afraid of the beauty treatment, because I read in papers, going to beauty treatment can sometimes cause you breakout. This is the last thing I want in my life.
All I want to know is from those who had gone through roaccutane, acne scars haunt them, and how they successfully treat them? 
I have similar scaring- and yes I took the tane years ago.. I've found that with every year the scars slightly began to fade.. but then reached a point where "it" decided it had done all it wanted to do. I'm still looking into a good treatment as well- i'd love to hear some solid suggestions from others-- but sadly it seems even in our day and age-- we have a long ways to go before a good, affordable, reliable solution comes our way. Until then- keep skin moisturized, take plenty of zinc, l-lysine, C, E,.. drink lots of water. Be "nice" to your skin.
And I guess we should be thankful that we are on this end of the battle, and not still dealing with the acne per se. Cheers!
