Just wondered if anyone regularly uses LEDs and if they have seen any results with them? I am having dermpen treatments every three months and i was thinking of purchasing an led unit to use in between. Can anyone in the know recommend a unit to me or the type of thing i should be looking for? I'd also like to use it on my fine lines around mouth and eyes too if possible.

I recently purchased a Tanda. I got both the Blue LED head for acne, and the Red LED head for skin rejuvenation. I use it everyday, and find the warming sensation and sonic vibration to be calming. Is the Red led doing anything for my acne scars or overall complexion? I'm not sure yet, I don't notice any huge improvement in either yet. I'll keep using it for a while longer before a make a final decision on the Red Led Head.
How long have you been using it for sanjoseskin? I don't have any active acne so i guess i would only need the red leds. I've heard of some people using amber leds and also infrared but i find it so confusing trying to work out which one to get.
I've been using it a little over a month now I think.
The red leds are very bright, and the head piece emits heat (not from the leds, they put a heating coil inside the head) and there are also sonic vibrations. Honestly, it is VERY soothing and calming. Something about the red light, heat and vibration calms me and every time I use it I want to fall asleep.
The only thing about the device is that it is time consuming to use, but honestly it's okay. I just put on the safety glasses and lay down listening to the tv while I use it. Also, when fully charged you don't get many uses out of it, the battery drains fast. So what I do is just use it plugged in, and you don't have to worry about the battery draining in the middle of a session.
I recommend the Tanda over other devices for two main reasons. The led heads last for 6000 uses (that's a lot). Secondly, Nordstrom, Barneys, Saks and other top department stores carry it, meaning if it doesn't work for you then you can easily return it.
I think I'm going to try LEDs (the dual hand-held 660nm/880nm panel thingy from the Ledman mentioned somewhere on this forum) in combination with needling. I'm not sure if it would work though. I like this idea because it seems minimally invasive and I like treating only scarred areas, but I accept the fact that I may be merely wasting my time. I'm only trying this based on a few successful anecdotes on this forum and I haven't seen any before-after pictures, so needless to say I can't expect much. However, if done carefully, I doubt it's going to do any harm either.
When I do get LEDs, I'd like to test them by creating two similar wounds somewhere on my skin, and treating one of them with LEDs and see if it heals faster. If it does, then maybe it could be reasonable to expect LEDs to improve results in combination with other treatments. I don't think LEDs would do anything on their own, except possibly aid very fresh scars.
