i've been doing it and really seeing good results but my skin is far worse then yours ...different scarring as well...your scarring seems really mild honestly ...
I'm glad you're seeing good results! And I have also read that dermarolling is better suited for those with rolling acne scars. I don't have any of those, exept for one near my mouth, on my left cheek. My scarring is mostly icepick and boxcar. Lovely. My scarring most likely seems mild because I have already had lots of work done.
The biggest reason that I do not think I would choose dermarolling is because I do not trust myself to do something like that to my face at home. I'm not a medical professional in any way, so I just would have no idea where to begin.
I understand that there are risks involved in having lasering done to one's face. However I have just seen far, far too many amazing results on people who have had combination treatments to their skin that include lasering. The risks seem worth it to me. He had a combination treatment involving subsicion, laser, and ReCell (not available to us here in the States yet), and he looks amazing. He went from having one of the worst cases of acne scarring that I have ever seen to being just downright handsome, and I know that lasering helped him to achieve the results he was after.

I know, right? You should read this entire thread. I love Ernesto's story. It was so inspiring to me. It's too bad he no longer posts on acne.org, and I know he has moved on with his life, but I would love to have the chance to tell him how brave and amazing he is for featuring his journey on these forums.
People like him, and Danielle Osti are my heroes. They both seem so upbeat and positive, despite the struggles they have had to deal with. Their attitudes make them seem even more beautiful than they already are.
Cherry, frame of mind is so very important. Dani was so positive in her videos that she serves as an inspiration to people who get down on themselves. The trials that Ernesto went through are incredible. I never heard him giving up.

You are absolutely right. And sometimes I think frame of mind is harder to control than even acne and scarring. There have been moments in which I have looked at myself in the mirror, and felt really low. I don't look like I did when I was 19, 20 and even 21, scarring-wise. That's hard to cope with. However, I know that I live in a day and age in which there are so many treatment options available for people with acne scarring, and it gives me hope.
Reading stories of people like Dani and Ernesto, and the Bern triplets (I just watched their interview with Matt Lauer, by the way 
), are helpful, too. Their scarring is worse than mine, and yet they seem to be able to maintain positive attitudes, and be cheerful, despite everything that they had to cope with. They remain positive because they know there are procedures out there to help them, and that it takes faith in the physicians treating them, patience and time.
I know that I will eventually have skin that I feel confident with, it will just be a process.
why did he stop posting on here? and ive been lurking here since 05 i love it ...there once was a thread on green cream that was really helpful that stuff worked well...my skin is so not sensitive now though i can use level 9 and not get anywhere ...i need like acid ....what are people going to blame there problems on one of these days when there is a cure for scarring and there won't be anymore acne scars ....i can't even imagine living without them ....don't u have looking in car windows ...i had a friend of mine tell me dang i hate lookin into a mirror when the sun is reflecting off it ...and he had great skin i thought u prick!

I'm pretty sure Ernesto said in his thread that he was going to stop posting on acne.org because he felt like he had achieved most of the results he wanted to achieve from the treatments for his scarring, and wanted to move on with his life.
I can understand, especially since he said in some of his initial posts on his thread that he had researched for four years (FOUR YEARS!) on the best ways to treat his scarring, and then sought the best treatment he could find. That's a long time in one's life to devote to looking for procedures to correct scarring, and then go about treating scarring.
Plus, he got into a relationship, and had all sorts of good things happen to him. So, I totally get why he would want to focus on all those wonderful things in his life.
Cherry, I am very pleased with Re:pair, it has changed my life. I am probably the oldest person on these forums so I have additional concerns, hence the Plastic Surgery. I endured an era when there were no effective acne scar treatments so now I am here basically to say to people "hey look, you are luckier than I was". I tend to get on people who think their life is over because of acne scars. Re:pair was the greatest advancement that I have seen in my lifetime. Understand that I use Re:pair to define all ablative fractionalized CO2 lasers much like people call facial tissues Kleenex. Re:pair is what I know and have experience with. My Re:pairs are listed in my signature, and they number 5. For reasons I don't pretend to understand Re:pair seems to be the most intense of the lasers. I have heard people say they only had the numbing cream, and there is no way that would have been enough for Re:pair at the level I am treated at. I am the poster boy for my Plastic Surgeon, and she now only charges me $800 a treatment.
I have yet another question for you, Dudley. Would it be possible for use something like Re:pair on the side of my nose? One side of my nose has a bit of scarring, and I know that punch floats cannot be used on nasal tissue. So I wondered if the same "rule" applies to using laser on the nose.

I don't know. He did not list pricing for his treatments, because his doctor in London does not charge the same fees for every patient. My guess is that all the procedures combined cost a pretty penny. But so worth it. He looks just phenomenal.

One of the non-acne scars that was easy to pinpoint was on my nose, and it was from an auto accident when I was about 20. They did Re:pair on my nose and it was almost gone after the 1st Re:Pair and it was gone after the second, so yes they can do Re:Pair on your nose.

It's a type of laser treatment. It might help you to read this thread from the beginning, Rob, because alot of my questions about laser treatments are about things like Re:pair.

dude your scars arent severe. i would b a happy camper if i had your scarring instead of my deep pitted scarring . live and enjoy your life and forget doing any treatments for now because you are gonna make yours scars worse and open doors to new skin problems. i speak from expereience..

My scars were worse, and they aren't as severe as they were because I didn't forget about wanting them treated. And I know from my own experience that taking action has made my scarring better, not worse.
