How To Know If You're Gonna Scar?

I'm sorry, I know I've been making stupid threads here, but it's just that I'm so desperate.

Why I don't go to a dermatologist? First because my acne is located on one spot and I don't have cystic acne so it is not so severe, second because doctors usually prescribe some expensive medications and it seems they're trying to figure out a treatment, they don't really know what is gonna work or not. And my real concern now are these scars, maybe I should see a doctor to ask if they'll be permanent scars or not, but I thought someone could help me here...

I have acne only on my right cheek, I occasionally have some whiteheads on me forehead but they don't really bother me. Anyway, I had pustular acne so I used this to get rid of them:

But on my cheek this thing simply burned my skin. What I have now looks like atrophic scars, and maybe they really are atrophic scars, I don't know. They look almost like this, except that they're smaller and more superficial (I can't even look to my skin now because it makes me wanna puke, so I don't wanna expose myself here, sorry.):

This very brave girl also seems have these same scars:

Some people think they're just hyperpigmentation but I really lost some skin, it is not flat. I had something that looked like a boxcar scar and it was very deep but now it is almost flat, and the other scars are recovering too, though they're still very red. That's the problem, I had so many pimples and the ones that are still a little bit red, I can notice a slight depression when looking very close, but I know that I had pimples over other places that now look normal, so I'm not sure if I'l really scar or if they'll go away... I can't sleep thinking about it, I know that maybe only time will tell, but if someone have a clue here, it would make me feel a lot of more better.

PS: I used that same product over a very small whitehead and it scarred me the same way and there is still a red little hole there.

My question is: how can I know if will be a permanent scar or not?

Thank you.

Will I have to wait 6-12 months to know if they're a permanent scar?

you know you're going to scar if you dont moisturize your skin and if your too harsh on your acne. its best to incorporate vitamins and oil free lotions, and aloe vera to your routine for they all help heal acne and also help prevent and heal scars. good luck.

When you see a scar. obviously, That girl in the video is absolutely GORGEOUS, regardless of her pimples, and the greatest thing is she has a great attitude!!! I don't see her crying, i see her upbeat and optimistic. Wish I would see more people on this board with this type of attitude, instead of all the drama queens i see on this board. Crying over every pimple, red mark, tiny little pock scar. Everyone being so overly dramatic over the littlest things that fade with time. The key to clearing your skin is clearing your mind. Having a healthy mind is the answer I think to clearing your acne.

Thanks for your reply! =D

I'm sorry IF my paranoia is annoying you, but anyway thanks for letting me know.

And yes, I love that girl, she is Cassandra Bankson and of course she is great girl, great person, I admire her too.

But if I knew that what I'm complaining about is so silly and minimal, I wouldn't be so desperate. I look myself in the mirror and I see my cheek with deformations and all red, it freaks me out! Maybe it's a real drama queen, but I don't see it like it, y'know.

But y'know what? I really loved what you said, because you made me aware that what I'm concerning about is ridiculous, right? Thank you.

I'm struggling to clear my mind, but you're damn right,

I know you answered a very similar post I did about it on another board, and thanks again!

I heard that olive oil is a great moisture and it doesn't clog pores, I'm trying this now and it really seems to be helping.

Thanks for answering ! =D

Hey, I've been doing some research about skin healing process and they say it takes about 1 year to the skin repairs itself, even when the scar is not red anymore, the remodelling process is very slow. So I hope we're in this process! eusa_pray.gif
