this chap who took care of you might really be onto something here with this treatment, and he could change the lives of many other people.

so keep posting the pics mate, as this can help other lads. we need to know if this is the solution, because this far there seems to be no solution for extreme scarring, and if your doctor has got it, then the news needs to be spread around.

also, not sure if you mentioned this, but be careful with the sun mate. I know this is winter, but even now it can be dangerous, so avoid the sun or use some cream.

johnscar, you are right. That is why I give him credit. I think the combination of the 3 procedures has been the secret.

Re the sun, absolutely mate. I am already using SunSense SPF 50 even to be at home. Using it all ALL TIMES!

Excellent results! :surprised: I don't personally have acne scars but few old cuts on my arm from a broken glass. I found this forum when I was searching from modern scar revision solutions, and I'm wondering if same kind of procedure could be used to remove scarring from other parts of body. I consulted a plastic surgeon who told me that laser resurfacing probably won't work very well and surgical excision would leave scar of it's own.. But maybe mechanical or laser dermabrasion followed by ReCell would work since it has already been used for that kind of cosmetic procedures? Maybe I have to contact Avita or some clinics that already use ReCell.

Ernestoria,

Your post is inspirational. After seeing your before photos and your after photos....the improvement is well... jaw dropping.

It is probably still a little early...but I will say

-Your improvement is UNBELIEVABLE.

-Your healing is very speedy

You did your research and took your time: and now your skin looks 80-90% better...but really 110% better if you consider how amazing it is to achieve the results you have received.

I have done one subcision and one spot dermabrasion....

My scarring is isolated mainlt to my right cheek...and is not as severe as yours was....and is moderate...but overall upsets me greatly....

You have done extremely well for yourself and I doubt most people can say proudly they have achieved what you have.

Congratulations on what you have accomplished. It is truly amazing.

I assume it will be 6 months to a year before you even think about doing anything else. I may start taking some of those herbs you recommended.

I am 6 weeks after a dermabrasion procedure on a spot on my right cheek and am still reddish in that area...(pinkish really but reddish when I wash my face)...

I wonder if they have that re-cell procedure in the states over here. That is something completely new to me.

Were you breaking out before this procedure at all? What finally got rid of your acne? Do you use a topical retinoid or anything? and what is your stance on topical retinoids such as Retin A or Tazorac?

I am going to guess accutane got rid of your acne...but also gave you scarring because that is what happened to me...

I am very happy for you man, I am 23 and know what it's like to have acne scarring and it sucks.

Keep us updated, and keep doing what you are doing. I may have to get to England one day because it seems like they have amazing doctors there that really know the properties of skin and really know how to treat it for maximum effectiveness.

I can only imagine the feeling of looking and seeing true improvement.

Having gone through a bunch of different procedures for my scarring, I've seen how swelling itself can make the scars look 100% good.

In your case though, you had really bad scarring man...and even if you expect that the visible improvement will go down by lets say 20%, it will still be HUGE. I mean HUGE. I think you can pretty fairly rejoice with the great results.

You might want to have repair done again in a few months---also get on a good skin regimen that will support collagen building because scars can make the skin hard and fibrotic, so exfoliation, retin-a, glycolics etc, can help making it smoother. You might also wanna look at some other skin supplements like copper peptides. They might help considering the amount of injury your skin had. Dermarolling will also be helpful in your case to make the skin softer from the inside even though it will probably not change the surface texture.

Given that you're latin skin and how strong the doctor went, don't forget the sunblock ! Pretty much all the day time for atleast 6 months. I'll also recommend, staying indoors for 2 months. Keep some in your pocket cause you need to apply it every 2-3 hours. And a nice moisturizer to keep the delicate skin.

Also look into red 633 nm LED light. My derm did it multiple times after surgery. It helps healing and reduces redness.

For all this, definitely check with your md before trying something.

And yeah, you're pretty cute haha...:) Especially with the shadow on the beard.

Question-does the re-pair work by taken a layer of skin off? and if thats the case the skin comes back as it was normal, trying to understand how improvement is acheived.

Can you please take some "after" photos in the same lighting and position as your "before" pics.

Also i'm almost 95 percent certain that the great results you received were thanks to subcision and not fraxel. Thats just my opinion though.

Well obviously fraxel could never hope to accomplish these results. But I've seen subcision bring up the scars before, and subcision combined with fraxels swelling, and ReCell as the cherry on top. Well, you get results like these.

The skin can't build this much collagen in this short amount of time, but then again I love to be proven wrong.

what he said, it takes time for collagen to build after fraxel.

Hold the phone everyone!!

I am not going to judge results yet until we see good before and afters 2 months out at least. Lets all judge these results objectively without jumping to conclusions. ERNESTORIA please remember to post pictures and give us your thoughts on improvement a couple months from now. Regardless of what you have done to reduce swelling it is still there, trust me! I've had many invasive procedures before.

Day 15: Before and After (Take I)

Hey everybody!

Thanks agains for all the comments and I do appreciate we won't be able to see the final results until two months from now. So. I will keep posting pics in a regular basis. But I do have to say also, I am VERY pleased with the results so far!

I have taken pics today in the same condition and lighting than the before pics. Unfortunately given the changing and snowy weather lighting is not "exactly" the same, but you can have a very accurate approximation to it. I taken the same left angles in the same lighting conditions and with and with the room lights on so you can see both.

Definitely massive improvement. Its almost magical haha considering the amount of scarring you had. U might end up having a great improvement in your quality of life :)' e.g. people not staring at your scars..

You might wanna consider another round of subcision...might help a little more.

looks good man, don't do any treatments for a while just take care of your skin. I would wait minimum 6 months before even considering other treatment. Just my opinion.

I don't even think you should do anything else because you just had such great improvement.

I see a 70%-85% improvement judging from your pictures. Even after two months and you end up with 35% improvement, that is HUGE. Im happy for ya man. Love hearing success stories on here.

BTW Im amazed at how quickly your skin heals.

What are your future plans for treatments?

The Doctor was very impressed at how quickly my skin healed. I have always had good skin I have to say, plus I think the ReCell have a lot to do with it also. Plus I followed all the advise in regards to holistic recovery post operation. So, I think All in All it was an incredibly quick recovery. That is also why I am not too worried about micro-swelling. I know I am still swollen but I do know me and I know I am not THAT swollen. So... I do expect the percentage not to drop that much. I think it will stick around the 70% figure.

In regards to future treatment. I am gonna wait 6 month and then make a decision then. But I might do the whole lot again, subcision plus Fraxel again but only in certain areas.. instead of ReCell i might do Steam Cells.

I completely agree. While the subcision may have aided I really think that the aggresive Fraxel paired with the ReCell is what really made the difference. I have seen I few other pictures of the results ReCell has achieved and they have all been great. The damaga fraxel repair induced was great for the ReCell to do its thing.

Lets all keep our fingers crossed that improvement stays. You still have swelling that will go down. A 50% improvement may be possible afterwards though if what they say is tru and collagen formation continues after the swelling subsides. Just give us your thoughts in a few months. Out of everything I've researched, I definitely want to try this combo, especially because of the down time. My forehead is REALLY bad!! Can you get this RECELL in the states?

There is very vast improvement. Just give it more time and im sure you will see even more improvement. Laser takes a long time to see the effect.

Really dude. Your scars are WAYYYYY better. Less deep and shadowing.

This is very dramatic, I'm wondering if it is due to the recell. However, the before pictures show rather bumpy fibrotic scar tissue, I think even if you just had a deep dermabrasion after the long healing time with that it would look smoother. The real question is perhaps not is there swelling and will it go down, but instead rather will some of the fibrotic tissue begin to thicken and build back, because that is what the skin is programmed to do. I know this because I have some of that fibrotic tissue, which can make the pitted area look worse. It is because the skin is thicker around the pitted area. After I have done invasive procedures it will thin that area out, but then it will build back. However, with the recell it could program it to stop producing the scar tissue, dunno. Anyways, I'm sure there will still be vast improvement just wondering how much.
