I see immediately improvement in the first month, then the scars gradually return. They really start to become visible after 3-4 months. The most improvement is in my deep rolling scars. Boxcar scars look better for a short time, then go back to normal in a few weeks...they become more obvious because my rolling scars look better.
I think this is a good idea for people who have moderate to severe rolling scars and can't afford subcision or major treatments as of yet. Again, I fully intend to treat my scars, but this does help my self-esteem until that is possible.
The scars are still visible, they don't disappear completely, but they are less apparent.
If you do plan to self inject, MAKE SURE YOU READ THE THREAD ON HOW TO PROPERLY SELF-INJECT. The first time I tried this my skin got horribly inflamed and I stuck the needle too deep, really dangerous. I almost swore off Restylane. You can seriously harm yourself if you're not careful!
For people with rolling scars, the best thing to do is just go ahead and get subcision.
I tried injecting Perlane before I was able to find a doctor that did subcision and it kinda works but is not permanent. Seeing as how Perlane is 300 bucks a pop (if you do it yourself), it's not very cost effective if you have to do it three times a year. You'd definitely get more results by having three different subcision sessions and not only is it permanent but it's not that much more expensive than Perlane (most subcision sessions are anywhere from 400-600 dollars).

hi starlite, how much better would you say they look, percentage-wise? do they look 50% better, maybe even 75%?
