Question , what is the best C serum to use and the best price? ANyone have a link?

The HA link I posted also claims to have Ester C as part of its ingrediants as well. WOuld that be enough Ester C I need or do I need to buy Ester C serum soley?

A link that has a good reliable product and best price would be greatly appreciated.

One word of warning, If you have just got microdermabrasion done or any peel, or anything at all that has made the face a little upset be carefull. THe HA I posted is 10% , its stong and you can feel it burn a bit on raw skin. ALthough I have done this , I never scared from it.

I've been taking the hyarulonic acid now for about three months. I've been taking it consistantly for two months. I do have to say that I believe it is plumping up my skin and making my rolling scars look less noticeable and other scars look softer. I have noticed if I stop taking them for a day my skin doesn't look as firm and smooth.

I am hoping that taking the hyarulonic acid for a longer period of time may help improve results of other treatments leading to more permanant results.

I still have not started using a topical HA, yet of course I am tempted to do this. I am thinking that a combination of DMAE and HA is some kind of serum would give nice firming, smoothing temporary results as a morning serum to wear under makeup. I guess if I can't find one out there without a lot of fillers, I can make my own. The problem for me is, most serums and moisterizers look like crap under the layers of mineral makeup I wear.

I just found the Spenco 2nd Skin at Rite Aid, and have been using it for about 2 days. I am in love with this stuff!!! Not only did it make a few spots that I'd messed with heal VERY quickly, but used underneath my NA-PCA and SPF it really makes my skin glow! Its even better that the DermaBeauty HA serum that I paid way too much for, so I would definitely recommend it!

Scorpion_Vixen: Can I just ask which HA supplements you are taking and the percentage of HA?

Because HighPlainsDrifter said she had good results by taking a very high dosage over one month. It might be helpful to know how each person's results correspond with percentages of HA.

100% hyaluronic acid is MAJOR expensive running about $10,000.00 per kg wholesale. I wish I could afford it! I have it injected into my lips as a filler and it works GREAT RestylaneAA!!(not the same) Although Restylane is not derived from animal sources. Anyway, I would love to know the company that distributes 100% hyaluronic products! Thank You!! Here's some info on it

Restylane

Generic Name: non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA) injectable gel

Approved: December 12, 2003

Company: Medicis

Treatment for: Facial Wrinkles, lip filler

About Restylane & NASHA

Restylane is the first and only dermal filler made of crystal-clear gel called NASHA (Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid). NASHA is developed using a unique stabilization process that results in its long duration of effect in contrast to non-stabilized hyaluronic acid, which lasts only days to weeks, at most. As opposed to other hyaluronic acid products, NASHA is not derived from animal sources. It is produced biotechnologically by natural fermentation in a sterile laboratory environment. This significantly diminishes the risk of transmitting diseases between species or of eliciting allergic reactions in patients who are sensitive to common foods, such as beef, chicken and eggs. NASHA has been extensively researched for over a decade and proven to be safe and effective. Restylane does not require any allergy or skin test prior to injection.

Well, i've just bought the Glucoflex 510 mg HA/ Glucosamine combo (the tablets are 500 mg glucosamine, 10mg HA, but apparently glucosamine converts to HA in the body) and have been taking them for two days.

Here's hoping!

I have been taking the HA for several months now. I bought 3 bottles and ran out last month. My knees started hurting about three weeks after I ran out. I have a Japanese friend pick up the sticky vegies the HA supposly comes from. I would like to by HA in its purist form!

Nancy,

I broke down and ordered the Spenco 2nd skin quick heal today, before you even posted this. :-) I've been wanting to get it for awhile but could never find it in any of the drug stores around here.

That kinda sucks. Do you think your body has become dependent on HA?

The whites of my eyes were also brighter when I was on it and now are starting to dim in color. I gotta go get me some more!!!! biggrin.gif

You have to keep up the regimen with the HA or the benefits will disappear. I can tell a big diff between on and off the supplements...in my skin and in my knee pain. I also find that the liquid version seems to work a bit better for me then the caps..but not a big diff.

Nancy you are not old. [-X

Smilingeyes mentions that their skin is clearing up as a result of the HA. Does HA affect acne, then, as well as all the other skin benefits?

Third time trying to post this: :-s

My knees do not have near the pain now compared back before I starting taking the HA. So I believe they have done some good. I think its like vitamins. They start kicking in 3 days after, but when I haven't taken for a long while I start to drag a bit. I'm going to incorporate it in my daily diet along with my Flinestones.

Sounds like HA can be used in the same way as glucosamine sulfate...just with better things for your skin. biggrin.gif

I've been taking glucosamine sulphate for over 6 months ... I think it does help with joint care .. but it took over 3 months before I saw results. I don't think it helped with my skin though.
