Hey you guys! So I've been using the Cetaphil Moisturizer for the regimen and I really hate the thickness of it...so I've ordered Dan's mini travel sized moisturizer so I'll be trying that next week..maybe..but have any of you guys tried Cerave? And I mean the AM facial moisturizing lotion. If you HAVE tried it, can you guys PLEASE tell me if it actually worked?? THANK YOUUUUU and also, is it better than the Cetaphil Moisturizer??

I like the Cerave moisturizer I use the AM in the morning and the PM at night.

My daughter is on the Regimen and really likes the Cetaphil moisturizer - not the regular one, she finds that too thick, but the one for sensitive skin that has SPF 15, it is much lighter. The other one she really like is by Paula's Choice and is called Hydralight Moisture-Infusing Lotion.

We have never tried Dan's moisturizer but it seems to get mixed reviews, some people really like it and other people seem to find that it does not absorb too well and is a bit 'yellow' in colour. Like everything else with skin products it seems to be trial and error as to what would work well for you.

Good luck.

Thank you so much for the advice!! Are you on the Regimen?? And is Cerave non-comedogenic?? Do you think Dan would recommend it?

I am not on the Regimen but my daughter has been on it for 3 months and is seeing a lot of improvement now. So hang in there.

The Cerave moisturizers are supposed to be non-comedogenic, however it seems that no matter if they are some people still break out from non-comedogenic products! The PM moisturizer is not as thick as the AM moisturizer maybe because the AM moisturizer has sunscreen in it (not sure?).

If you want a website where you can check out the ratings of all sorts and brands of skin products you could take a look at www.paulaschoice.com . Their ratings seem quite fair. I always check it out if I am looking for a new product.

I like Cetaphil more. I've tried CeraVe and it broke me out right away, even though it felt so light and hydrating on my skin. I use the Cetaphil moisturising lotion in the morning too. i saw in another post you were asking how to apply it gently? When I use it in the morning, I spread it all over my fingers so that it's really thin on my fingers and then just lightly swipe it on my face, doesn't really leave a mark or anything.

I have never hated a moisturiser as much as I hated Dan's. It gave my skin this yellow tan and I didn't like the consistency. While it didn't seem to break me out, it made my asian skin tone even more yellow, which is arguably worse than getting a couple of zits. I've been using Cetaphil for years and I recommend it to everyone :)

Oh thanks!!! Well for the Cetaphil Moisturizer, I dab it it on my skin lightly in different places and gently as I can but it STILL leaves a white residue and it just balls up with the bp. After I apply the bp, I wait fifteen minutes and if it still isn't dried, then I wait five more minutes. The moisturizer STILL balls up with the bp... Well not the bp but the flakes from the bp. And so you think the tanning from Dan'a moisturizer is REALLY bad?

Well, even with Dan's moisturiser, I had to wait at least 30min to 1 hour for the bp to dry before applying it, especially when you start using the full amount of bp in the regimen (which I think is too much, but that's just my opinion/my skin). Also, and this is just the way I do it, I like to apply moisturiser before the BP to avoid the weird clumping effect. IDK how this affects the effectiveness of the regimen, but it works fine for me! And yes, the tanning was awful. I didn't notice it at first but one day I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and my face looked sooo yellow in comparison to my neck, and I hadn't changed my shade of makeup in like years... But I don't think this is an effect that everyone gets? I've definitely seen people on acne.org share similar stories though.

Ohhhh thanks!! Oh and btw, the tanning is actually from the bp, well for my skin.
