basically the only pro about this for me is that it really hydrates and takes care of flakes. It never really absorbs completely, it's thick, greasy, and does clump a whole lot if you apply BP before it. But, it does it's job. It's the most hydrating moisturizer I've ever tried.
The best way to use it if your flaking is moisturize first then bp then moisturize mixed with jojoba oil drops.
So add in another step basically. How long should you wait between these?
As soon as the cream dry's go to the next step. It can take anywhere from 5mins to 15mins to dry.

So you added this step in and didn't affect outcome of the regimen?
Be careful with Cetaphil. It works wonders on some and gives whiteheads to others. Jojoba oil also has this effect on some people. I like to add in a bit of tamanu oil. My esthetician recommends sunflower oil as the most acne-friendly oil.
Ive just started using jojoba oil recently so don't know if its making me break out yet. I think ceteaphil is actually good for my skin but still early on regimen so will wait and see
