Hi, I use the Avene extremely gentle cleanser sometimes (As you just use cotton pads and don't need water I use it on mornings when I can't get in the bathroom! - I live in a house with 3 other girls who all have partners) Generally I prefer to wash with water just because that is what I am used to and is recommended by Dan but I think this cleanser is good and I don't notice my skin being different from when I use a different gentle cleanser with water. The only other Avene product I use is spf 50+ facial moisturiser which I think is amazing! Not greasy at all and great for my very fair skin. So yes, I think they are okay substitutes, the ones I've used have worked well for me and generally Avene products are very gentle/for sensitive skin which is exactly what the regimen requires! Thanks for your reply Flaxen I think I will stick with the avene products for a bit cos they seem to be working okay - slight break out now I'm in my second week though! But I've heard that's normal? Hopefully it isn't the products I'm using.
