IMG_9203.JPGIMG_9204.JPGIMG_9205.JPGHello-
I'm just starting this to hold myself accountable to keeping up my regime and in order to meet some people who struggle with the same sort of stuf I do. I am 14, and I have moderate cystic acne on my face and chest and pretty severe on my back (although I haven't had any cysts on my back for a while, there is quite a bit of scarring. I've tried the Unblemish regime (which dried my skin out to no end) and have taken 100mg doxycycline for about 2 months. My skin has gotten a little better since these pictures were taken, but not too much. I finally got to go to a derm, who recommended Accutane straight off, which was a bit odd- she did end up giving way a pretty strong regime, but it's not as invasive.

Prescriptions: Adapalene Gel (.3 percent)
Doxycycline Hyclate (150 mg)
Gianvi birth control

Other:
CeraVe moisturizer
Cetaphil Facewash
Sunscreen

Routine:

Morning:
Wash face (Cetaphil)
Moisturize (CeraVe)
Sunscreen

Night:
1 pill of birth control (at roughly 9) TAKE ON FULL STOMACH
1 tablet of doxycycline
Wash face (Cetaphil)
Pat dry
Adapalene (don't put near eyes.)
Moisturize (CeraVe)

anyway, this is my full routine. My goal is to have it gone in less than a year (before I go to high school) so approx. 8 months. It might be ambitious, but it's worth a shot. The weird thing is, I had pretty normal skin before August- maybe a regular zit or two, but nothing cystic. My goal is to get it back to that, I guess.
Interactions and advice are are than welcome, but I'm just tying to keep myself accountable for sticking with this for 4+ months before losing hope. Wish me luck!
