Your skin looks so much better rather than you were using Diane 35. I was taking Diane 35 before, because it was prescribed to me because I have PCOS. But then, the lazy person within me didn't follow up to my OB. She told me maybe my acne case is also because of PCOS. I am also stubborn so I took Diane 35 without my OB knowing any updates from me.. If I didn't take the pill I don't have my period. Then I tried a little cheaper brand because Diane 35 breaks my pocket hard and also switched to generic brand of hormone pill and boy, both brands, it made my face went in total outrage. So I got back to Diane 35. But I stopped, I was so scared that I depend my life so much with this hormone pill. though it kept my pimples at bay. (paranoid :D) Still the blemishes and scars won't just go. And I hate the water retention made by Diane 35! ;(
I took an alternative route, I workout.
About yasmine/yaz pill, here in my country it's a little expensive than Diane 35, so I was never able to tried it but my female boss, I heard she was using yasmine and she looks lovely.
I guess you have to keep your faith with your new found brand.

Omg I totally agree with the water retention thing. It's all in the stomach area right? At least it made our boobs grow! I'm not even using diane actually, Im using a generic one but I looked at the ingredients and they were all the same which i guess is good right? it's called Novo Cyproterone/ethinyl estradiol which i think is the ingredient name for diane. So you are not on any birth control anymore?

It's definitely there, and the bumps are more obvious irl. And really? I'm about to start my 6th one, my cheeks are definitely better. what are your problem areas? cheeks/forehead?

So weird, i used to have moderate acne on my cheeks and chin. I now only break out on my nose. Which i would rather take over my cheeks.

Yep. not using BCP anymore. I hate water retention. really. I looked preggy but not. Especially whenever I wear dress, people asked if I am. :))
Okay so I finished the 6th pack and I'm on my period right now, and I got a pimple or two on my nose because of that I think. Anyway... My skin is better, but I'm not sure if it's because of Diane 35 or because I haven't worn makeup in a while. I hope it's Diane because I love foundation. (I know my under eye circles are literally purple)
Im 6th month in yasmin and im 100% clear. No new zit in 2 months. I think it could be a combination as to why your clear, but its mainly the dianne. You can always apply concealer to undereyes or blemishes without foundation. I do that and it looks natural (just gotta use the right shade)

That's so awesome for you!! I'm in my first week of the pill again after my period and I'm breaking out in a few places unfortunately. Hopefully it becomes clear soon. And I wish I could use just concealer, but my pores are too big so I like foundation to cover them

Change your birth control. if it hasnt worked so far it will NOT work. Thankfully im completely clear on yasmin! Im really happy. Maybe you could try a different birth control?
So. I'm almost at 6 months (I think the day after tomorrow.) I'm almost on my period week. I'm breaking out like crazy, everywhere. On my forehead as well as my cheeks. Whiteheads everywhere. I'm hoping once my period starts it will clear but ugh, idk... Not to mention that this pill has not helped with my heavy period or cramps AT ALL. Maybe my body takes a while to adjust...
i just don't know what to do anymore and if I should stay with this pill for a few more weeks or not. I had really good skin days with it but really bad ones as well.

Go to your doctor, i would suggest swapping pills to something else tbh. Maybe your acne isnt even hormonal?

I still have 2 packs left that I already paid 60 dollars for so I think I will use those and if it still doesn't work I will see my doctor. I'm really hoping it's hormonal. It's very persistent and I started getting acne right when I got my first period at 14. What else could it be? No other treatments have worked I've been on antibiotics and countless of gels and creams.

Thank you so much, I love your comments!! I am using benzaclin which helped a lot, and I'm not 100% sure but I think my foundation breaks me out.. It didn't used to before so idk why it's happening now. It's been making me go places bare faced though so I guess that's good.I'm almost a week into my new pack, I think it's the 8th one. My forehead cleared up from all those whiteheads and my cheeks seem better but when I face a certain direction and the light hits my face, there are little bumps on my skin. Still don't know how to get rid of those and they really make my foundation look horrible.
I couldn't get my camera to focus that well for some reason but the bumps I'm talking about are in the last picture.

I used to have these bumps too, but it never bothered me. It disappeared after i used differin (which I would NOT recommend). it makes all the gunk come to the surface, which is worse than the bumps. Exfoliation made them inflamed for me, the only thing that slightly helped was steaming my skin and afterwards rubbing oil on my skin- the little bumps had hard sebum come out. they WILL go away on their own. I only have one left. You're lucky they have not become inflamed. Your skin looks really good, and if foundation makes it worse, i honestly recommend going bare faced. I would DIE for your skin!! Stop stressing so much, thats probably why nothings working ( in your eyes). Keep us updated though. Im enjoying your journey!
My skin currently looks really oily because I'm stopping benzoyl peroxide and trying a tea tree oil treatment by Burt's Bees which isn't as drying... But I'm into the second week of this pack and I actually teared up looking at my very first photo that I posted on here. I'm just constantly paranoid that I'll breakout again really badly.
But I'm about 90% sure that I will breakout soon because I'm going to the Bahamas and I'm gonna have to wear heavy duty sunscreen which always gives me more acne.
7 hours ago, fade95 said:Katy your skin looks soso good! And enjoy your vacation to the Bahamas!!
Thank you!! It was fine until now because my period is starting smh. But the Bahamas is amazing !
So I'm breaking out on my cheeks and my forehead but hopefully it's because my period is going to be here in 3 days. Or it may be because of the sunscreen I've been using on vacation. Either way I'm not too bothered by the breakout because I'm too busy at the beach lmao.
Just started my period today. Whenever I'm on my period I seem to breakout in the exact same spots. My cheeks, forehead and nose. Anyway I'm hoping that's what's causing this because looking back on photos I can honestly say the breakouts happen in the same spot.
(I got sunburnt and tan on the sides of my face so that's why it's a little darker than my cheeks)

Omg it sucks because I always thought i'd be completely pimple free by this time. But i guess it's normal to breakout once in a while.
I honestly forgot what pack I'm on but I've been breaking out lately. I'm not gonna lie I've had pretty good skin until now. Like, almost completely clear. I recently switched to cyestra35 which is the other genericversion so that might be bad for my skin but i really doubt it. I think I'm just paranoid. I recently started taking Lysine supplements and as soon as I did that, I started getting pimples. So that might be the cause. I'm about 2 weeks into this pack.

i had like one pimple and i was freaking out. once you have acne, you can never have perfect skin without fear. if i get one pimple i freak out and think my acne is coming back. Im with you, birth control has transformed my skin.
