I'm really crossing my fingers on this one. I think this is probably the worst acne I've had in a while. It really isn't that bad but it was getting worse and worse each day before starting the regimen. In like 3 days my right cheek just completely turned into a pizza. There's really nothing wrong with my chin and forehead, just the occasional breakouts. My cheeks are a huge problem though. I think it had something to do with the Depo shot I used 3 months ago. I am currently trying to change my diet while exercising, and I am strictly drinking water.
I am currently on Day 6 of the regimen, and here's how my face is looking:
(Please excuse the gross-ness, I just got done working out)
So far the regimen has definitely flattened my acne out drastically. It also has reduced the redness on my cheeks. I chose to give up wearing makeup for now since it looks terrible on my dried out skin.
One problem I have been encountering on this regimen is how irritated my skin gets while working out. My face gets so itchy the more I sweat and it really gets in the way of having a consistent workout.
I can't say pimples have gone away yet, but I can definitely say I haven't broken out any more since starting the regimen.
Yes I am definitely going to be keeping a log!
Thank you
Day 7 -
So today officially concludes the first week that I have been using this regimen. My skin is definitely not as dry anymore, but I imagine it will be since I am going to start applying BP morning and nightly now. I'm still using barely a dime size of BP and I am only applying it to the areas of my face that have acne (basically just my cheeks and two spots on my chin). I'm not going to log a picture today since my skin pretty much looks the same again. I have a couple of whiteheads today on some stubborn acne... which is good I assume, since the acne originally would always remain there and not really do anything. (Is that good or not?)
Workout today was definitely more bearable. I ran outdoors today, so I wasn't really drenched since the air would just dry my sweat. However, it was getting a bit irritated once I was done but I just hopped right into the shower before it really attacked me. I haven't tried applying makeup yet, and I'm still going to hold off on that. This whole regimen requires some type of courage and I'm paranoid that wearing makeup will just halt the process. I'm so used to wearing makeup daily since I'm very embarrassed about my cheeks. I use Clinique acne solutions liquid foundation and stay-matte sheer makeup. It does a good job hiding all the red spots on my face.
My acne definitely lifted more than usual today and I'm not sure why. Let's hope tomorrow it calms down again.
Though I haven't ever been on the regimen, I can guess that it'll likely work for your type of acne. What I can see in the pictures is quite mild, but I understand your eagerness to rid yourself of it, of course haha. Prepare for a lot of ups and downs, though. From what I've gathered, the regimen starts producing consistent results after about 3 months. A lot of people have breakouts in between the start and that point in time, so don't freak out if you fall into one of those cases. You don't really have too much to worry about the moment, though. Your acne looks, like I said, quite mild. Otherwise, I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks man! I appreciate your encouragement. So far the regimen has been pretty good to me. No extreme breakouts at all, just tons of dryness and irritation. I'm just glad I finally gave this a chance because my skin was LITERALLY consistently breaking out before I started it.
Day 8 -
Skin is the...same? Nothing bad has occurred so far. I applied BP this morning and I'm going to do so again later tonight. My skin is relatively dry but not as dry as before. I'm using slightly more BP on my cheeks. The pimple nearest to my nose is getting really ugly... it has this ugly dark red stone appearance, blegh. Hopefully it fixes itself by tomorrow. It looks really gross.
On a positive note, redness has definitely subsided even more. No new breakouts so far, however I am getting these small bumps around my lips.
I'm still only drinking water, eating relatively healthy, and exercising daily. Although I do admit I ate some chips and a chocolate bar yesterday (stuff that usually breaks me out), and nothing has happened yet.
I'm wishing you lots of luck! I've been on the Regimen for about a month and a half now and the last two weeks I've experienced no breakouts at all (compared to before I started where I'd get something new everyday) so it definitely works! You'll probably clear up even quicker than that because you're eating healthy too! I've been eating too much junk lately.

Thank you so much for the support! I was really surprised on how well the regimen just halted my breakouts. It has been great to me already. I think it might have to do with my diet + exercise as well. I am staying as optimistic as I can. I haven't worn makeup in a week and I definitely feel less self-conscious without it now *woo*
Day 10 -
Aha. Just as I suspected. The redness came back because I'm using BP morning and nightly. Skin isn't looking so hot today. But that makes sense since its Week 2, usually the rougher week. I'm still on my workout routine and only drinking water. Still don't have new breakouts. If this redness gets worse tomorrow I think I'll be sticking to BP only nightly, because my skin would literally not stop burning that I had to apply a honey mask to calm it down. I don't wanna damage my skin for good. I'll also be switching to a new moisturizer. I test-ran how different my skin felt when using Aveeno's clear complexion moisturizer for one morning, and it definitely made my skin way less itchy and irritable (redness also subsided dramatically).
So from now on, in the AM and PM I'll be using the Cleanser, BP (only in the PM if my skin spazzes again), and Aveeno moisturizer. Drinking only water. Exercising daily. And trying my best to only wear makeup on occasion. (It's been over a week since I haven't worn it )
Damn, a week without makeup? You should be a role model to girls everywhere. Really, no sarcasm hahah
Haha thanks. I'm just trying my best to keep my skin as clean and untouched as possible.
Day 11-
So today was definitely a huge improvement. I'm using the new moisturizer and my face finally feels healthier again. No new breakouts whatsoever today. Maybe just a little irritation here and there at night, definitely bearable though. I always try to sleep in a soldier position so that my face can't touch the pillows, but it never ends up working out, haha. (A little paranoid, I know) My skin definitely feels smoother, flatter than usual. I feel these pimples disappearing slowly! It's a great feeling. However, my skin has the tendency to leave red marks behind even when I don't touch my acne or face like at all. I'm probably going to have new red marks after these pimples go away. I don't even how to start getting rid of them. For now I'll worry about clearing up first though.
Off topic, my work outs have been pretty good lately. I ran 6 miles the other day, about 3 miles yesterday, and 5 miles today. I've never been so pumped. I've been feeling super motivated lately and I've been staying on track with healthy eating. I've also started to take Omega-3 supplements to see if it'll have an effect on my skin.
Day 12 -
Everything is great-- however I did have new breakouts for the first time since starting this regimen. There's 2 tiny pimples on my chin; not really significant enough to complain about and definitely something I really don't mind. I'm amazed at how far I've gotten without having new breakouts. My skin definitely feels smoother, still a bit flaky, but flatter. My acne is slowly shrinking away and I'm just so happy. I'm only using BP nightly and its still pretty effective. I think changing moisturizers helped me a lot.
Day 13 -
My right cheek improved like tremendously. However, my left cheek is starting to break out like nuts. Its really ironic actually. I'm still only using BP nightly. So far my skin is improving a lot still. My left cheek just purged like nuts today though, can't believe it. Oh well, still staying hopeful. Short write today since not too much has happened. Oh, and the pimples on my chin are fading away already.
Day 15 -
Uh oh, my cheeks are doing pretty bad now. I'm still exercising and sticking to water though, however lately I've been very stressed it's probably taking a toll on my skin. I'm still strictly sticking to my routine; not giving up hope.
On a good note: I recently got called for a job interview today! I'm so excited. This will be my first job interview, hehe. Definitely going to have to wear make-up for that!
My skin has adjusted to BP and I'm thinking of putting it on morning and nightly now. Hopefully that'll help me more than just putting it on nightly.
Wow, I apologize for not documenting my progress. I decided that focusing on it daily was only going to make me stress out more and probably break out.
So what ended up happening is that most of my acne did go away! My makeup applies smoothly and I pretty much look like I have flawless skin when wearing it--however, even though BP removed my pimples quickly, it made it so that red marks were leftover no matter what I did.
84th day -
I only have a few pimples on my face at the moment. There are tiny ones on my forehead, 2 active ones on each cheek. I HARDLY break out. I ended up using Dan's BP as more of a spot treatment at night more than anything. My skin just couldn't handle the entire application of BP during the day and I think that's what led to my pimples leaving red marks that still haven't faded slightly. Using it as a spot treatment worked more effectively than using it on my entire face all the time.
I also exfoliated 3 times a week with baking soda and a few drops of tea tree oil with water and mixing it to create a mask. This really helped my complexion and--what I like to believe-- prevented further breakouts. For the most part, my acne is hormonal. Pimples would/will just randomly appear on mostly my cheeks for no apparent reason-- really no reason whatsoever. I ate right, treated my skin right. I'm not saying I'm not happy with the results, I just now understand that there's only so much I can do to help my skin and just be happy with what I have. I used to be so frustrated over little breakouts. It's natural and I just need to wait it out-- I'm a teenager after-all. My older sister and mom suffered from terrible acne too, so I think I actually created a good handle on it before it went too out of control. Because like I said, I would literally break out DAILY before I went on the regimen. I'm pretty sure I halted a disaster waiting to happen by going on it immediately after the "warning "You're gonna be a pizza face pretty soon" signs*
But like I was saying earlier, I don't breakout as much anymore. I would say on average maybe 3 small pimples a week (which is nothing compared to earlier where I would break out daily). I get the occasional cyst-like pimple every few weeks or so(for some reason on my chin a lot). I don't mind breaking out, to be honest. What I am having trouble with is the redness and scarring that is leftover. I've had scars on my face that have been on my cheeks for probably 2 years already but have faded just a bit and just stay there. The new scars are red and eventually turn brown, but then reach a plateau. I'm really hesitant on trying anything before I really educate myself on what I can do to remove these scars.
I'm also very limited on cash after buying all these products to treat the active acne. For now I'm sticking to natural ingredients: Lemon, tee tree oil, honey, etc; I see a slight improvement each time but it doesn't seem to last. It's pretty frustrating because with each small breakout I get comes another scar. I now learn to only use BP when it's really necessary because that's *what I think* keeps scarring my cheeks.
For the most part, I like to confidently say I have healthy skin. It's never too dry or too oily. My skin feels as soft as a baby's bottom.
These are really terrible pictures. I'll take better ones tomorrow just to really demonstrate the difference in my skin. But the way I like to describe my look WITHOUT makeup is that I have freckles all over my cheeks. Some people mistake it for active acne (so annoying)
Superficially speaking, my skin doesn't look THAT much better off than the original pictures. But texture wise, it has amazingly improved.
Direct Sunlight
Flash used
Nothing like light foundation and light powder to cover up, right? Haha. I know I said it looks like I have flawless skin with makeup on, but maybe almost flawless looking skin since I have a few bumps from a few active acne. I really tried to get a picture where the sun would hit my skin to highlight them. This is flawlesss to me.
Originally, my skin would look gross, bumpy, and dry under makeup. It was embarrassing.
But yeah, I'll let you guys be the judge of how it all went down. For me, I think it worked out pretty nicely. I didn't really stick to the original regimen, but incorporated my own things and used what really worked for me. I'm at that next stage to get rid of not the acne, but now the remnants of those pimples.
