Hey everyone, just a log to help track progress. I started treatment for mild - moderate acne on April 3, 2013. I am on Retin-A (.05%) and Minocylcline (100mg twice a day).

Weeks 1 and 2

Everything went swimmingly here. My acne seemed to clear up a lot and very fast. I thought I was going to be one of the lucky few to not have an IB. I don't have overly sensitive skin, so I didn't experience any irritation. I had a slight amount of peeling, but nothing I couldn't deal with by lightly using a wet towel, or putting on some moisturizer.

Week 3

This is where the breaking out started. It wasn't terrible at this point in time, but I had 5-6 pimples pop up during this week. I think the Minocycline helped keep them from being full on cysts though.

Weeks 4 and 5

These were some of the hardest weeks of my life. I remember waking up one day during this time to 6 new pimples in one area, and a cyst on the other side of my face. I did my best to keep up with them, and I had a hard time leaving my room during this time. It's amazing how shitty it gets before it gets better.

Weeks 6 to 8

During this time my acne slowed down a lot. I was getting 2-3 new pimples a day at the beginning of week 6, but they were small and manageable. By the time I got to week 8, it had calmed down a lot. At this point, I was just dealing with an intense amount of PIH, or the red marks left behind by acne. It made my skin look much worse than it was.

Weeks 9 and 10

Skin feels like it is getting better each and every day. PIH is slowly going away, and new pimples don't last long, and are usually small. Skin feels smooth overall, looks like results are finally coming.

Week 11 (in progress)

PIH is still going down, but for some reason I'm getting small bumps (5-6) scattered across my face. They are about the size of a sharpie dot on paper, and not very noticeable, except for one, but they're strange to say the least since I've never had them. Oh well, we'll see how it looks at the end of the week, Retin-A is weird like that.

Thanks, you too! What was your acne like before you started if you don't mind me asking?

Skin continues to improve little by little, and today marks being halfway through week 11.
