Feeling dry!! Lol my lips look so shriveled and awful. Aquaphor is my everything right now.

I'm not really noticing a decrease in my larger pimples that form into whiteheads but the tiny ones are slowly disappearing. I used to feel them while I was washing my face and now it's getting a lot smoother.

Not really feeling anything internally physical as far as side effects. I have been a little more emotional about things but that's probably the addition of the bcp and my job disaisfaction which has always been there. My hair is starting to get a little less oily too. I hope one day I can go a day or two in between wasings like everyone else lol

hey how are you doing? how is the accutane treating you so far? i bet you are clearing up nicely now. i cant wait for you to show me those after pics of your amazingly clear skin! are you feeling ok?

i am doing pretty good i got 1 new zit but its near my hairline so you cant see it unless i put my hair up but other that things are clearing up nicely. i think i am going to pass on the laser for now and try medical microdermabrasian. its 3 times stronger than regular micorderm and is suppossed to get good results so i am waiting another week or two and will start those treatments. i get so nervous though doing anything afraid it will make me breakout but i think it will be good for my skin thats for sure.

Feelings pretty good! The insomnia is settling down a bit so I'm just dealing with a little dryness. I have a couple new pimples that came up so I'm just dealing with these. I feel like there's no end in sight! I can't wait to start seeing results...

Microderm is really good! It's very exfoliating. I know how you feel though I'm always a little wary of new skin treatments. I feel like if I break out more and have more red marks it wouldn't be worth it. When's your appointment for that?

I have a job interview later today. I'm soooo nervous. And I hope I'm able to cover these spots:/

Starting to get really really dry. I feel sunburned all the time and my skin feels sore. I'm two weeks in and I think the IB is starting full force...

oh no! i hope the ib goes away just as fast as it came on for you. just remember it will all be worth it in the end!! i havent made an appointment yet for the medical microderm but will do so in the next week or so. this is way stronger than the regular microderm so i hope it helps my skin. they assured me that it will so we shall see. i have had regular microderm with no issues but since this is such a deeper exfoliation i worry about breaking out but i think if i go when i am totally clear it should be fine right?

how are you feeling otherwise? are you more tired than normal?

Yeah it should be fine. I can see getting a breakout from a peel but with microderm it seems like it wouldn't.

Feeling okay. I had some insomnia that seems to be working itself out. My IB is healing and hopefully that'll be the last of it:/

cool and thanks i feel a lot better about it. its crazy now with being pretty much clear that i get so paranoid about chaning anything up ya know? ugh insomnia sucks but glad you are doing better now and thats great news about the ib. i am praying that it will be over with soon and that you wont get anymore breakouts but i have heard they do heal quicker when on accutane so stay positive and juust think how awesome your skin is gonna look after this is all over.

It's good, pretty much the same as before haha I'm waiting on a call back from a job I interviewed with on Friday. I hate waiting:(

yeah i hear ya there its scary to make any changes but i want to start these medical microderms now becuase we are going away for memorial day and i want to look at least a little bit better by then if i can. i might call and make an appointment for next week. i will keep you updated!

Yeah I am on the month marks. I'm coming up on ending my first month. I woke up with two new pimples today but they're different? If that makes sense. They're not as inflamed and they're not pop able lol where as before they would go crazy overnight and I could extract them. I'm trying to leave my face alone as much as possible

that's cool and glad that your pimples are not as inflamed. are they gone now? i have heard that with accutane the pimples when you get them dont stay around as long. how are you doing today?

Yeah it's come and go, I guess it's been a month now and I can say I really don't see much of a difference other than being really really dry. My lips look awful and I'm getting some itchy dry rash on my hands. I had my second blood test on Monday and I have my derm apt this Monday to get month two. Hopefully that goes well and she can reassure me because I'm not seeing much of a change:/

I just got back from Chicago and it was soo cold and dry. It killed my skin ugh. I was so dry and flaky and I doesn't help that everyone there has that effortless amazing skin:/

I just had my derm appointment today and she bumped me up to 80 mg a day now. She said the 40 mg was to see how well I tolerated it and since my bloodwork was fine I can go a little higher. Hopefully I'll start seeing results now. I'm soo dry! My lips drive me crazy and the inside of my nose hurts from being so dry:( hopefully it'll all be worth it!

Yeah I was kinda shocked. I got a massive breakout in the last two days. It seems like it never ends:/ just when it looks like its getting better it break out all over again. I don't see an end in sight..

Still breaking out a bit..waiting...waiting...

I just started my third month, still 80mg and I THINK it's starting to work! I went out this weekend with only a little bit of powder and concealer. I notice my skin texture is starting to smooth out a lot also. It's strange, I remember a long time ago when I was on Retin A MIcro and it was working really well for me my skin resembled how it is now. Kind of funny how a similar topical and internal medicine function the same lol

Starting month 4! It's gotten so much better but now I feel like I've hit a plateau and I'm stuck at the 1-2 pimples stage. Not bad though, especially at what it was before. The only problem is what I do get is so slow to heal and my skin is super fragile so no picking at all! The way my skin get so dry is wacky too, even my ears get flaky if I don't moisturize. Hope you're doing well! How's your treatment?

hey there! good to hear from you. well thats good that your skin is a lot better. are you getting 1-2 pimples a week? i bet you are looking pretty darn good now though. that sucks about your skin being fragile but i think once you are done with the accutane that it will return back to normal. oh wow thats crazy about your ears getting dry too. just think you are only have 2 more months to go right? you are almost done! my skin has been doing pretty good. i got a microlaser peel on friday and am almost totally healed up. its crazy you look like a burn victim for a few days then the skin peels and you look so much better. i still have some raised scarring so in a few months i will go back and get another one at a much higher setting only on my chin area and have the lady feather it out to match the rest of my skin. if that doesnt do it then co2 for me. i hate raised scarring its so hard to get rid of! so glad you are doing better though.

Yeah what's crazy about those treatments is how burned and peeling the skin can get before it gets way better. I always think omg what have I doneee ill never heal from this haha.

Yeah usually 1-2 a week. I'll clear up completely after them for a few days and I think "oh that was the last of them," but it never seems to be:/ they're different kinds though if that makes sense, nothing really in them just bumps. My derm said they usually get the skin 70% clear before they stop the treatment so I'm hoping I do a lot more clearing up in the next two months!

i hear ya there! i looked like i was in a fire and then bam 4 days later my skin peeled and i was pretty much back to normal. yeah you do wonder why you did what you did though at first. its amazing really how fast the skin can heal from things like that which is why i always think its so odd how acne can really fuck it up.

thats not too bad then to get 1-2 a week. are they leaving red marks or do they just come and go without marking the skin? when my hubby did accutane he said he didnt get completely clear till month 5 then his liver enzymes were too high so they had to take him off it right away. he is still fine to this day and if he does get breakouts they usually go away pretty fast.
