I got whiteheads too...but I think it was because I didn't moisturize after using the clarisonic! I like the clarisonic. It's not amazing or the holy grail but it helps I suppose.

Undergroudn zit still on my left cheek still here. the one on my nose disappeared and upperlip is diminishing.
hey - i'm on RAM right now too. I've been doing it for 2 months and I'm still getting breakouts, so I completely sympathize with your struggles.
I really like Bare Minerals foundation. It will cover - you just have to use more than they do in the instructions. I love my skin when I use it, and it doesn't make me breakout more than usual. Right now I'm trying to go without it now so I can get comfortable in my bare skin again...
I also am dealing with large pores and searching for a solution. I think my oil control lotion is helping them look smaller and I don't feel like an oil slick by the end of the day when I use it. Its Cosmedicine Medi-Matte oil control lotion. love it, b/c i don't feel like i need to wear mineral veil anymore.
take care and good luck!
Thanks! You should ask your derm about Duac it helps with clearing the break outs. Retin-a doesn't really do anything to prevent breaks. I don't think it's really effective alone. Good luck!
Haven't updated in awhile. Used the clinique foundation in jan 18th. Broke out recently on my chin and left cheek due to the foundation. It's recovering now. The Duac really works in clearing the zits. I have one under my left chin and left cheek. The RAM helps with scarring I suppose. Sometimes I use Duac in the morning and at night to clear up a zit. Still on my same routine. Cutting back on the EDM lately and just going out with no makeup. I need to find a tinted moisturizer that covers for winter now. It's cold and my skin is really dry. The everyday mineral breaks me out.

My skin is pretty clear except for scarring and large pores. My pores are humongous. Still trying to figure out how to diminish those pores. Will get a facial during spring break when I go home. I need to find an esthetician when I am away at school.
Skin is okay. I had a minor break out last week but it's cleared up now. Just problems with scarring and black heads and enlarged pores. My complexion is really dull and uneven and I have so many blackheads and pores. Hm...what can I do? I'm going home this weekend but I didn't get a chance to make an appointment for a facial. I just want to extract all these blackheads. Routine is pretty basic. It's been the same. I have been going out make up free for the past week or two. I haven't been moisturizing at night either since it's been warmer.

Hmm...I'm going to cut back on exfoliating two times a day. My skin has been really dry lately. I read somewhere that exfoliating everyday is bad for you. I'll just exfoliate at night and every other day that way I have natural oils left on my skin. I worked out yesterday.

Okay, I really hope you do not get the sense that I am ragging on your diet, but you need to tune your intake of food. Orange Juice is terrible for acne, lots of sugar and citrus. Cut it out, seriously. Pretzels, saltines, chewy bar, and cereal are ALL VERY HIGH IN PROCESSED CARBOHYDRATES. THEY ARE THE WORRRSSSTTT FOR SKIN! While everything else you are doing for your skin is good, you are evading results with these kinds of food. Check out diet logs and look @ acne research, I know its hard to eat accordingly but it WILL CLEAR YOU UP if you do. Good luck.
lol Okay thanks! Yeah, I've been slacking in my diet. I've been eating out of convenience since it's been exam week for me. =( Anyways I'm sick right now. I'm going to start eliminating potatos, tomatoes, and egg plants foods from diet.

try and cut the cereal out, trust me i know its hard, but the longer you keep things like wheat, white flour and sugar in your body, the longer it will take to detox it and have clear skin! good luck!
I used my clinique foundation last night since I had to go to some party last minute. I some how burned my face. It's been really red and raw. I think the neutrogena scrub I was using to wash my face before i applied my make up may have contributed to it. Exam week again. Papers due. yuck. Atleast I'm getting over my flu/cold whatever I had.

Thanks for you advice! Yeah it is really hard to cut back on wheat. But I will try! It's just easier sometimes to eat what my roommate cooks or whatever is in stock in my cabinets. =(
Yay! At least I'm not sick anymore. I'm happy for the 7 day recovery. Major midterms coming up and ten page philosophy papers to write. Yuck. So my no wheat diet has not been going all that great since I just eat on the go. I don't have time to cook. =( Two more weeks and then I'll go go home.

SpeciousHope,
Oatmeal is actually very good for you skin b/c of the Vitamin B & fiber. I'd recommend steel cut oatmeal w/fresh berries like blueberries and maybe a tiny amount of REAL maple syrup (although I just cook mine w/a cinnamon stick and splash of vanilla extract & skip syrup or sugar). Vitamin C is as well. I'd recommend eating an orange or fresh squeezed OJ instead of the kind at the store but...
Ask your derm, he/she will tell you. When I read here that some were saying that oatmeal is bad I immediately called my Derm (from Mobile, AL - who happens to be my cousin). According to him oatmeal is a famed Anti-inflammatory!
Also, here's a link
Thanks! I actually do put strawberries and blue berries in my oatmeal. I know using a oatmeal mask is really good for your skin.
