This is really strange, so I've been struggling with redness on my nose and cheeks for years, and also flakes in my hair. I've literally tried everything, and while somethings helped tone it down a little, it was never really cured.
Until I started taking cold showers. That's right, cold showers. My face is completely clear now, no redness at all, and there are no more flakes in my hair. The thing that was aggravating my seb-derm was hot showers. Thing is, when i took hot showers, i would wash my hair and face with cold water, however, the steam is what caused the problem. The steam is what was aggravating my face and hair. Once i started taking completely cold showers, my problems were solved.
Like i said, the steam from hot showers is what was causing my seb derm. Yes it is very hard to take cold showers, especially now that winter is approaching, however, cold showers are also really good for your mental health. You get a feeling of euphoria that lasts for hours afterwards. There are many health benefits, both mental and physical of taking cold showers, and for me personally, seb-derm is one of them.
Try it for a few days, if morning is too difficult, take it at night. But make sure the water is cold from the beginning. You will breathe like a maniac for a few seconds and feel like you're about to die, but it's worth it.
I made an account just so i can share this because some of you might be going throughthe same problem. It's literally so strange how this was the solution, i tried freaking everything. Probiotics, dandruff shampoo, everything. It might not work for you, idk we're all different, but it's worth a try.
