after a round of accutane, all i had left was the redness from deem seb. Although it was much better after accutune the redness was still there and from time to time it would flair up. Around 2 months ago a gave SebClair Cream a go. It is the best thing ever, i currently have ZERO redness and the best thing its that it its a non steroidal cream. I suggest this to everyone out there.
hi byeacne123 i think some users used it at page 14 like italianboy but didnt mention success with it and i also read from other forums negative reviews so, i guess its good that it worked for someone and had success with it .
A short update for me : after being totally gluten free, second time for 20 days ( first time was 30 days with some success) i concluded that gluten doesnt affect so much my SD as i had a flare up after being short term gluten free.
I am using raw organic ACV with success for my sculp and now only use it once per week and i shampoo my hair with a natural shampoo without SLS. I Have 0% of flakes now for the first time
i have on my mind to schedule a coffee free and milk-dairy free diet to see the impact of these on my S.D.
take care people
Well i guess my SD is only mild, as all i really get is redness and sometimes little red dots which annoy the shit out of me. This has worked to remove these. My complexion is once again even. I did a test and didn't use SebClair for 5 days and i noticed the redness and little red spots were coming back, definitely using this long term!
How severe is your SD? glad to hear you're finding something that works for you!

I would describe my SD as mild to moderate. It occurs when malassezia yeast grows up and that is every 14 days. Then i apply ketoconazole cream (fungoral 2%) which is my life savior ( i discovered it alone, none of the dermatologists i visited told me about it ) . I apply the cream once every night for 4-7 days and even in day 1 i see remarkable results.
I said these cause we all have some sort of cream that works for us , i will give SebClair a try after i finish testing the "raw honey treatment" which is quite interesting !!
I will share results as soon as possible .
EDIT : another possible solution for S.D -non steroid cream that worked for some people is "Nystatin"
http://www.skindrone.com/2015/02/nystatin-potential-seborrheic-dermatitis-treatment/
and another cream that may treat is and it is non steroid is "Promiseb"

Just wanted to share that the only thing that works quickly for me is ciclopirox, an antifungal. I tried many things (ACV, hydrocortisone, ketoconazole, clotrimazole, baking in the sun, etc....). A few years ago during a terrible, full facial SD flare up, I was desperate and starting looking through the medicine cabinet. My boyfriend has psoriasis and a bunch of prescriptions, so I started looking them all up. One was Loprox (ciclopirox) and it turned out that is was sometimes prescribed for SD. It has been the only thing that stops it overnight. The problem is, I ran out, and I couldn't get a dermatologist to prescribe it to me. (By the time I saw the derm in Canada, I had no flare up so he didn't really think I had SD.... he was relying on my diagnosis... maybe next time I'll take pics!). I was able to find some on eBay, but it's 0.1% instead of 0.77% like Loprox and it seems to work very slowly. I just ordered the 0.77% finally and waiting in the mail. Please note: I am in no way condoning buying Rx drugs on the internet! Just telling you my story. SD is very frustrating.
I also wanted to say that in terms of triggers, sometimes it can be something irritating that causes mine to flare. I also have acne, and if I go a little too hard with Retin A or BHA, I can get a flare up. It seems like my skin will move from having acne flare-up to having SD flare-up. Some kind of microbial warfare going on on my face :/ A few days ago, I started using low strength azelaic acid (8%) with low strength tretinoin (0.025%), and now I have a minor flare up. I think the combo was just irritating enough to cause problems. It could be something else... one can never know exactly. On a side note, azelaic acid has been proposed as a possible treatment for SD since it's also anti-fungal.

hi thx for the update,Dr Cynthia Bailey suggests it too on her site to cool down a flare up. i guess its a good cream .
I use ketoconazole but i am open to that kind of suggestions and will give it a try at some point.
i started the raw honey treatment but my sculp got very flaky so after 12-13 days i stoped. Maybe the honey was not good enough cause it was crystallized . I dont know , i have on mind to check dermdoctor born to be mild , restoraderm wash and moisturizer , no milk-coffee for a month and granpas thylox sulfur soap .. ill tell you guys if anything of these works..
i have been reading in different forums like this one and i am reading this topic from the start . I am currently at page 35 .Its quite boring but we gotta try all possible safe treatements.
Some people use far too many products and supplements , without caution .... You can damage your liver or other organs if you take a lot of supplements over the safe limit for a long time so be careful people !!!!! Remember that we are trying things that worked for some people on the internet and that is without supervision of a specialist on the field.
I guess dermatologists cant help us

Hi all , at page 44 of this thread user Avalonhaze mentioned that he used dermazinc cream (pyrithione zinc 2%) at a regular basis to control his seborrheic dermatis and so did user Simeon which used zinc pyrithione spray . Avalonhaze used it for more than 10 years as he sais and he confirmed it when i contacted him today .
0 side effects and many many good reviews from SD sufferers at amazon . Whoever hasnt found something that worked for him till now should give it a shot.
Take care
Thank you everyone for writing about the products that you have used and how they have worked for each of you .
I agree that everyone is different and things that work for some ,might not work for others , I also agree with being cautious about using herbal supplements or vitamins,or any over the counter oral supplements.
I think in my case diet doesn't affect me much ,but I still have to avoid milk ,peanuts, chocolate or sugary stuff. I also have to limit citrus ,and avoid strawberries,or any berry ,and only until my face turned dry .
When my face was oily and I was young ,I wasn't really affected by diet , using topical peroxide treatments or sulfur was enough to control pimples but still suffered with cystic acne , I had 3 surgeries to remove them.
Now that I'm menopausal I have found myself with dry ,itchy ,red, leathery ,pimply ,mostly top of my lip and chin area ,kind of like perioral dermatitis.
I have hypothyroidism, and have to take prescription for that ,also high cholesterol diagnosed at the age of 27 , I don't take prescription for that, I tried once and the results were really bad side effects.
So trying to see if something would help me internally was very difficult for me ,anyways , I went and tried evening primrose oil, I started with one 1000mg a day ,just to see how my body reacted ,and also because the doxycycline wasn't doing much .
To make it short
This is what I have been using these days .
To wash face Dr Bronner's liquid lavender soap, after face is dry ,I apply blue emu topical cream .
And the oral evening primrose oil ,and that is what has made a difference lately .
I tried this because when I posted a picture here on this thread someone commented and mentioned something ,like," for those with atopic dermatitis".
Also, because ,one of the assistants at the dermatologist office ,said I think that you have eczema all over .
I can't use salicylic acid on my face anymore, and it seems that is a trigger, and a no no for eczema .
Honey is kind of an exfoliating agent, too, hopedieslast.
I don't know if the combination of all of these is what is making a difference .
Nothing I was putting on my face was making a difference anymore , so I think that most of it ,can be to the oral use of the evening primrose oil.
Evening primrose oil, can't be used if you have a brain condition ,epilepsy .
Also ,it thins out the blood,so it has to be stopped ( just like garlic supplements),2 weeks prior to having any surgery.
The recommended dose is 3 xa day ,with a full meal ,if you read the products reviews here on the acne.org ,there is someone who uses it in combination with some cod liver oil , I haven't done that because I'm taking it slow, I was doing 3 times a day ,but then it's not too good for my thyroid , so I'm keeping it 2x a day .
That is my new experience, I will keep you updated.thanks for reading.
Take care.
hi all long time no see !!!
So good news , 34 seborrheic dermatitis free !!!
I dont know if it will continue this way but i feel reborn !!!!!!! I have long beard again , wear my sunglasses without a problem and go out without worrying if my face will be dry and flaky ....
So long story short i found this website which a canadian guy were suggesting some seborrheic dermatitis remedies, rating them and commenting them. This is it:
http://www.skindrone.com/2015/02/overview-of-seborrheic-dermatitis-face-treatments/#comment-17822
So , Michael used glutamine supplements to heal his gut for around 6 months, then he tried Cetaphil Restoraderm body wash for the face and cetaphil Cetaphil Restoraderm Moisturizer and he used it once every morning i think.
I tried the same thing but only that i wash my face and apply moisturizer twice daily , every morning and night. Also at noon when i am home i wash my face with water. I also bought some gentle cloths for my face one for every day of the week .
And then it happened, i havent seen my seborrheic dermatitis for more than a month.
I would also like to mention that with the face cloths i take out the blackheads from the side of the nose and forehead ,so that my face stays clean.
Also here in Greece it is nearly summer so the weather is hot and sunny. Also my SD used to occur after 14 days of the application of ketoconazole 2% cream(fungoral)
i havent seen such an improovement before with any products so thanks to michael (who is seborrheic dermatitis free for more than 7 months) i am reborn !!!!!
More people should try these products and see the results .
Stay strong and healthy
Hopedieslast....Yeah!
I'm glad that you finally have found something that is working for you, as I have realized that what might work for others might not work for me or the other way.
Anyways, I'm happy for you, thanks for sharing, I will look into it.
What kind of cloths are you using, and I guess it's ok to ask what brand. I know that make-up removers kind of exfoliate too.
Take care.

hi noche it is day 36 i am seborrheic dermatitis free . I hope it doesnt come back but even if it does this time it was delayed from coming back which is a good thing. This is a photo of the products i am using which cured michael from skindrone site who also had SD for a long time.
source:photo from google images
I am not here to advertise anything but this worked somehow . I use soft small cotton towels which i change every day or every second day. I take out the dead skin from my face with them gently after washing my face and then apply moisturizer because i usually feel my face dry. i do this procedure 2 times a day .Morning and before bed.
hi Hopedieslast...thank you .
I wanted to add something , since I have been doing a lot of reading, I went on free patents online site and did some research about what my husband takes for his asthma , he takes singulair brand name.
There ,(it's a long reading) they talk about leukotrienes (sp?) ,and also about glutamine or something related to glutamine .
It's all related to the gut and inflammation ,and I think the reason why we all react different to diet has to be related to enzymes,or lack of them ,but we can read all and get informed and at the end it all comes to us trying to figure out what could work for us ,because no doctor is going to do testing on us unless we pay for those testing from our own pocket.
The reason I researched what my husband takes is because he doesn't have skin problems, well, even before taking singulair he didn't , but he can have dairy and chocolate and peanuts and eats the most horrible ,greasy foods when not at home, so it seems that the ingredients in singulair act to prevent contact dermititis ,eczema.and also prevent inflammation caused by the gut .
I say it's very interesting , also every time I Google eczema , the list includes seborrheic dermatitis ,even wikepidea list seborrheic dermatitis, perioral dermatitis, in the same category like eczema.
The thing that I have noticed is that seborrheic dermatitis can be treated with eczema remedies or skin products or prescription , and the reason that most prescription treatments work only while we are using them then it's probably because they are blocking everything to come out to surface while the cells keep multiplying and reproducing deep in the skin , so after the prescription treatments stopped the redness then the blocked pores present again and again redness , so it's a cycle, but the bad thing about seborrheic dermatitis is that too much exfoliation is not good in fact is bad, I read somewhere that olive oil can be used to remove flakes from scalp when the seborrheic dermatitis is active but when it's dormant then is not a good idea.
What I have been doing to control my breakouts is that I apply the benzoyl peroxide treatment from the acne.org on top of my moisturizer and only kind of spot treat , my skin reacts a little, still gets a little red , but it goes away.
The thing that I learned also is that singulair have added a new side effect, thrombosis , meaning it thins out the blood .
Garlic does that ,aspirin does that , so in terms of using over the counter herbal supplements or any other supplement , we have to be very careful because of the side effects , also because most of them need to be paired with another supplement in order to work or at least not unbalance our system.
This is what I think .
The evening primrose oil worked on my eczema but interfered with my thyroid prescription , and didn't stopped the breakouts , so I can say that acne on the chin means hormonal , and balancing a thyroid is really a challenge.
So , try and not to skip breakfast , I think that is what caused my hypothyroidism.
Take care.
My best to all.

Well seborrheic dermatitis is a type of eczema so its logical to be treated by related products.. As long as these cetaphil products work for me i dont have to try out glutamine fortunately.
For my sculp i use ACV with the mother with great results. I just shampoo and then use my spray bottle which is filled with ACV to spray my hair and massage them. I then leave it for 5 minutes and rinse. Do this at start for 4 times in a row and then maintenance 1-2 times per week and you will be better i think.

Hopedieslast...yes ,....my skin also improves with eczema treatments,
Most of my redness is gone , but I'm still dealing with some flaking, I'm going to try the cetaphil products that you are trying.
And yes , I have heard about the Apple cider vinegar , I tried it but it was a little bit harsh for me , I haven't had any flaking or breakouts on my scalp, I don't know if it's the loreal sulfate free shampoo , my scalp problem is mostly right next to my forehead and since I have been using the dr Bronner's lavender liquid soap on my face , I use it around my ears and around my scalp and so far no breakouts or flaking.
But sometimes I have to use a clarifying shampoo, that has sulfates.
I also have noticed that things that have zinc oxide in it help me.
Take care, I'm happy for you.
I guess , it's all about control.

Checking back in. I am still redness free, flush free, dandruff free. Going to reiterate a few things and rant a bit as I'm mildly irritated with some of the latest responses.
Rocketboy you do not have rosacea or SD in those pictures. Staph a. could be the predominant bacteria in the pus but it is not a classic "Staph lesion" either. The picture looks like ingrown hairs to me. Drain the pustules and free the hair inside with your fingers gently and try using an electric razor for prevention.
I NEVER said peroxide causes redness; I said the exact opposite.
What I said about peroxide is you should be wary leaving it on a wound for an extended period of time because it MAY increase SCARRING (NOT REDNESS) according to ONE study.
Lifestyle changes such as low sugar diets are great and make you healthier. This may improve symptoms/make your life less depressing so you don't notice your disease as much but they are unlikely to cure the problem. Completely cutting carbs is not recommended, light carb is what I would suggest.
Spot treatments are not good. Fighting a losing battle = spot treating. You are not being preventative and you are not completely eradicating the problem if it is a microbe or mite. When you spot treat you also tend to leave the harsh chemicals on your skin for a long period of time in that area. Not good. You should be treating the entire region of your skin (in general I would say everything from the shoulders up) in a consistent and preventative manner. Killing the bugs in one spot is pointless if they can just return immediately from the surrounding skin.
I keep seeing all these remedies that are all trying to accomplish the same thing that proven substances do a much better job at. Suffocating everything in coconut or other oils, bombarding with salt, etc. Assuming our microbe theory is correct, obviously doing such things will at least have some limited success, but it's like this: Say you wanted to kill me and my feet are chained to the ground. There's a tub of oil in the corner. You have a bowl and you also have a loaded gun. Yes you could potentially use the bowl enough times to smother me with oil but why not just use the gun? Soaking my head with a coconut oil shower cap every night is almost more annoying than the SD itself.
With that perspective in mind, here is my ranking of substances, which I repeat, you should use consistently everywhere from the shoulders up.
Oils, salts, oregano, coal tar, etc: Largely useless but moderately effective if used excesssively. Yes coconut oil has some antimicrobial properties. Keyword SOME - that doesn't make it penicillin.
AVC, Zinc Pyrithione, Sulfur/Salicylic acid combo: Somewhat effective, may be enough for some people.
Hydrogen Peroxide, Benzoyl Peroxide: The best and what works for me when used consistently on every surface from shoulders up.
Peroxide products that work:
http://www.amazon.com/Davis-Benzoyl-Peroxide-Shampoo-12-Ounce/dp/B0078LOTV0
Hydrogen Peroxide in a spray bottle. ( I use the shampoo on my scalp and HP on my skin, but you could probably use the shampoo on your skin and HP spray on your scalp as well)
azoles: I am undecided on how well these work. Some may azoles likely work better than other azoles. I suggest trying this product:
http://www.amazon.com/Davis-Miconazole-Pet-Shampoo-12-Ounce/dp/B0078LOSUW
Nystatin and ciclopirox: These are very effective antifungals but I don't know how you would go about getting them.
chlorhexidine: Definitely worth trying. It is both antibacterial and antifungal. You can get it with this product:
http://www.amazon.com/Davis-Chlorhexidine-Pet-Shampoo-12-Ounce/dp/B0078LOU3W
I do not work for Davis but I am suggesting their products because they have simple, excellent ingredients (they even reverse osmosis filter their water), they are cheap, they have reasonable concentrations of the active ingredients, and I have used them all myself. Yes they are made for animals, but dogs have more sensitive skin than humans and this is HOW you get these chemicals from a major retailer (amazon) without a perscription. They are all worth a shot, and it may be worth trying to use all of them simultaneously (lather and rinse with each one in succession), but the money is the benzoyl peroxide shampoo.
If cetaphil is working for you, I am guessing because it is gentle (i.e. keeps natural pH) it supports the growth of healthy natural flora which keep bad, immunoreactive bugs away.
I saw some people in another forum recommending clonidine. This will reduce redness and blood flow (should limit flushing) but I would really hesistate to use such a powerful drug for symptomatic treatment (people using it for subtype 1 rosacea). It is not an antimicrobial it is a nervous system drug.
And yes , I have heard about the Apple cider vinegar , I tried it but it was a little bit harsh for me ,
I'm sorry to hear the ACV method didn't work for you. May I ask if you dilluted the ACV with distilled water to make sure you weren't using 100% vinegar until you adjusted to it? I find people sometimes are so excited to try a method that they jump right in head first. I use Bragg's w/mother's ACV and it has kept my flaking to a minimal level. I do like how it PH balances the skin and the fact it is a natural method.
SebdermRelief...I tried the acv ,braggs , and I used it diluted and undiluted , it was just too much for my skin to handle.
Thank you for the advice.
I have read all the posts on this thread, I have used most of the recommended stuff , I have managed to control the redness and flakiness, but still get some cystic acne, I think my problem could be my hypothyroidism, so hormones related, benzoyl peroxide helps, along with dr Bronner's liquid lavender , I tried the peppermint and it was a no, no
.I have been trying to moisturize my face, but it just gives me cystic acne.
Take care.
I have been suffering with SD for about 2 years now. At first it started just around my eyebrows, with extremely dry, flaky skin. My first derm prescribed me with Desodine cream. That seemed to work fine when it flared up - but two itty bitty tubes were over $120!! I didn't use it every day, only when I had a flare up. I used Cetaphil as a facewash and it seemed to be OK. But it then got worse. Opposite as to what everyone is saying, my skin seems to be doing worse in the summer time. I've done soo much research on this and have tried a lot of different things to help the skin on my face but nothing seems to work. I never had any diet restrictions, I just don't understand how this can show up out of nowhere! It's very frustrating. Either way Desodine and the mositurizer that I initially used seemed to work for me but I wanted this to be completely gone and get my old face back!!
So I went to a new derm and he prescribed me Ketoconazole and Vytone, which I am to apply daily. Sometimes they seem to work, other times they do not. Most mornings I will wake up and my entire face will be dry and flaky - so gross!! Lately, I've been waking up and my skin is so dry and tight that it cracks open from being so tight. It is very uncomfortable. Most days it does not itch, but other days it does.
I've also tried dandruff shampoos (used as facewash) and ACV. Both would work for 1 day or so and then symptoms would come back with avengence. I think the ACV dries out my skin too much, hence the cracking.
All in all - I just came here to vent about my frustrations with this disease! I used to have nice skin. Now it's horrible and even discolored in some areas. I have yet to try sea salt - which I am going to try. When I was on vacation at the beach it seemed as though my skin cleared up, saltwater and sunshine. If only my job could work around that type of schedule (ha!).
I am also going to cut things out of my diet, sugars especially and try to exercise more. I have never experienced any stomach pain or any other issues like that so I'm not sure how much of my diet will affect this. I will also cut out alcohol for awhile. I can't cut out meat or dairy, I enjoy those types of foods too much. So we'll see what happens with the sea salt and cutting out sugar.
I have a check up appt. with my derm on Monday 8/31. Let's see what he has to say.. my face has gotten worse!! and it's spread to my cheeks and chin..
Maybe I will have to go back to Desodine and see what the diet change does. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hi please do not use desonide as it is a topical corticosteroid. I know it seems tempting because you see instant results but it is not safe to keep using it in the long term. It will eventually thin your skin if used long enough and become less effective. Try washing your face with dead sea salt and water or you if you like taking baths you could fill a tub with the salt then soak in it. Dead sea salt is anti-inflammatory so it may help with your flare ups.
Look at finding a good moisturizer to use I don't know what you use but I really like cerave products. They contain ceramides which help repair the skin barrier. The ketoconazole cream should also help. Did you dilute the apple cider vinegar before using it? You don't want to use undiluted acv as it is too strong and will cause drying.
Its always good to look at cutting out all the junk food from your diet. Eating healthy helps with seborrheic dermatitis. Look at eating foods rich in vitamins and nutrients and avoid fatty foods, grains & wheats and sugary junkfood. Alchohol I find aggravates my sebderm because of the yeast. Its guaranteed to cause an intense flare up.
You also might benefit from applying raw honey to your face. You can use it as a cleanser as it has anti-inflammtory, anti-bacterial properties while also providing moisturizing effect. Plus its all natural and you're avoiding any harsh chemicals that are often found in store bought products.
Had a flare up of Seb Derm recently following a one week course of antibiotics for a future dental treatment. Things were not good and I had run out of my usual Nizoral Ketoconazole 2% cream which has always worked wonders but is only available on prescription. Doctor in UK prescribed me Daktarin Miconazole Nitrate cream but it only made things worse. Awful stuff. Went back to the doctor and explained I had always used Nizoral and that worked in the past and they prescribed me Daktarin Intensiv Ketoconazole 2% cream. Within seconds of applying the cream the dryness was gone and the redness significantly reduced and the best news for UK customers is that the cream is available to purchase in Superdrug and Boots with no prescription.
If you are suffering from Seb Derm and haven't tried Daktarin Intensive Ketoconazole 2% cream then I would highly recommend it. Almost clear now after day two of use.
First thank you all for your posts and sharing experiences.I am constantly developping white pus zits around mouth and chin! I started developing this about a year ago.Symptoms---------------- constant small white pus zits around mouth and chin. dry up in about 2-3 days.- few more start when one stops!- red bumps- redness- All these symptoms only around nose , mouth and chin. rest of the face is clear!- constant Dandruff also.
This thing brought me down so much in my life! There are days when i just sit in my room and cry because I have pretty much tried everything under the sun. I am even worried to go meet my sisters kids sad.png Please help share your expertise and what worked for you guys. Please drop a note and i really need your help & support to keep me motivated to see the light at the end of tunnel.thanks!
Because you mention "dry up in about 2-3 days", can you confirm whether the symptoms involve pustules that ooze a clear yellow fluid which dries up to yellow crusts? If so, you may have an unknown disease, for which the following dedicated forum has been created: oozingyellowcrusts.com
The problem mimics impetigo, but doesn't seem to be impetigo. Suffers have often seen multiple dermatologists, multiple different diagnoses, multiple antibiotics etc, all without success, accept for a few.
My update ...
I'm still using the doxycycline 50 or 100 once at night, I use the 50 if my face is not itchy, otherwise the 100 for itchy face.
Washing my face with Dr Bronner's liquid lavender soap. Once or double wash morning and night , when I use make-up, it's double wash.
Then ,8/10 minutes after I apply Dan's benzoyl peroxide treatment mixed with clean and clear dual action oil free moisturizer (sometimes I can get some residue that looks like white plastic, when I massage this mix onto my face, so I just kind of remove this white plastic residue flakes) .
No more breaking out, the flakes or dry skin are mostly on my chin area, but just a little.
I use loreal bb cream and to remove it I use clean and clear oil free facial cleansing wipes , the package is white with a lavender color cover,( I put the wipes with the cover down , since they seem to get dry) .
So far it's been good, I had to learn how to use the right quantity of Dr Bronner's liquid lavender soap and how to mix the peroxide with the moisturizer , I usually do 50/50 , or more peroxide if my skin gets oily.
At the moment I have no redness, just the normal redness that can come with scrubbing after washing my face( I have very sensitive skin).
I have no active pimples , and I have been doing this for about 2 months altogether.
My scalp is under control , no flakes or bumps, I keep using loreal sulfate free pink color bottle shampoo, no conditioner or anything else on my scalp, I think , it must the doxycycline doing something.
I have been doing some living lately , the only thing that I try to avoid is milk and cheese, cheese is really hard.
I eat almost anything except for peanuts or chocolate(I can have a bar of twix if I really have a crave).
I eat eggs for breakfast.I don't go on extreme healthy diets.
This is what I have been doing lately and it's keeping me mostly flake free and stress free.
I hope you guys can find what works because I understand how stressful this is.
Take care!
Hi all , i hope everyone is doing good.
flekkn thanks for the great response , i think that you are right . However somehow, what works for 1 person might not work for another. For me what makes a huge difference is ketoconazole 2% , cetaphil products for eczema and ACV with the mother .
i have tried salt cleansing method with mediterranean salt but it got worse.
CharBar don't give up hope , be patient and persistent to find a solution.
I have read the entire thread and took notes . What helped most people was some kind of pyrithione zinc product, so i would suggest everyone who hasnt found a solution yet to have in mind that the following products helped some people a lot:
Dermazinc, znp bar or noble forumla or znp spray (most effective is dermazinc and in amazon site it has many reviews)
Nystatin
cerave lotion
So my update is :
3 months 16 days free of flare ups . Then i got a flare up which i treated with ketoconazole 2% for 3 days(once every night)
Then i got another flare up after 36 days which i treated with the same cream again and it got better right away
For my sculp i continue using ACV with the mother once every week and everything is normal . We will see how it goes. Winter is coming !!!!!
EDIT: i was also very tired and anxious about some things that happened in my life when the flare ups happened
In conclusion i am very satisfied with the outcome. Stay possitive and never stop trying. Take care.
P.S. Bring your friends or anyone you know that has seborrheic dermatitis in this thread on this forum. We should have our own forum at some point too.
@Hopedieslast...Yes , stress plays a huge part ,but I also think stress is the cause of all illnesses.
I had an appointment with my dermatologist yesterday and he asked about my stress levels, pfff ...through the roof, always.
I need to start watching more comedies, and don't take things too seriously.
Flekkn...I think you make a lot of sense too , I seem to do well regarding hydrogen or benzoyl peroxide too.
Take care everyone and keep postings your experiences with medications or over the counter.
