I'm like a stereotypical guy when it comes to make up in spite of being a girl. Even watching videos it all confuses me.
I just use foundation and powder. But I find I never make it look good. Especially on the days I have acne bumps. I hate how I look in makeup because I suck at applying yet I look worse without it. I'd love to quit makeup for good if my acne ever left.
Anyone else suck at applying makeup? It makes me feel worse. No one's makeup job looks as bad as mine.
I used to be bad at it when I first started using makeup. But you know what that corny saying is... "Practice makes perfect." You hate it because it's frustrating for you, but you go back to using it because you feel like you need it. I suggest adding an extra 10-15 minutes to your application time so you can tweak your technique...and/or practice on it when you're staying at home and chilling out for the day.
I also find that the products a person uses is absolutely key to looking good. Get the right moisturizer, primer, foundation, and powder. (I also swear by setting sprays to make the look last longer.)
Or you can walk out the door bare-faced and be comfortable. Screw what other people think, why do they matter? If people stare, stare back. Makeup should really be for fun, and not a crutch. I've learned to ignore people when I go out without makeup....I'd rather be comfy on my chillax days than worrying about what people think of me or the looks I get.
