Dry shampoo. But they also are likely to be conditioning, and using styling products

I tried the no-washing stuff many years ago when it was a fad and never got past the greasy waxy stage. I then tried water-only and that was pretty icky too.

I think some of us "naturally" produce oils that are less than ideal. The individual oil mix that comes from my scalp is not the beautifying kind. Thank god I live in a time where surfactants are purchasable for $1 a bottle.

I've also gone through stints of No-Poo products (DevaCurl, Wen, some others). Wen was awful. I liked DevaCurl on the bottom half of my hair alright but hated what it did to my scalp.

Most of us have that. It's due to a deficiency in linoleic acid in our sebum. Maybe this is only working for me because of my topical use of a high linoleic acid oil.

I have a bag of hibiscus powder that I don't know what to do with, but it appears it works as a hair cleanser by itself (I'm bleached blonder, however, and would end up stained.) *URL Removed, see board rules; http://www.acne.org/board-rules.html Acne.org Moderator Team*

p.s. if anyone has suggestions what else I can do with it, PM me

Use it to make blush & tinted lip balm. Beautiful color! I don't know that it would stain your hair. I tried to use hibiscus tea to dye some cloth but it washed right out. I even tried to help set the stain it with a hot iron.
