Do research online, and go with the flow :)

Try Mac Prolong wear, revlon whipped colorstay and VICHY dermablen as concealer? That 's the perfect combo imo,..

Don't be embarrassed! The people at make-up counters have seen it all and they know that most of the people who go over there want to hide imperfections. I recently just went to the Mac counter for the first time to get a good concealer and powder and they totally understood that I needed to hide acne redness and scarring. I think if you do it once, you won't feel uneasy anymore the next time you go. 🙂

My advice is to go maybe during times when it is no busy.

For example... right when they open, or right before they close. Also, during weekdays when most people are at work instead of weekends.

Another thing is.... I think most make up nowadays have a lot of irritating ingredients. Maybe try ordering online? Organic makeup?

Ask for samples !!!!!!!!! Before buying the actual product. Also, ask about return policies , and make your decision from there.

I also want to add... if you don't want to be bothered by anyone, PRETEND you are on your phone! :)

Put your phone on silent, and just talk on your phone... act like you're too busy, and look around the place.

I totally understand you. I put off going more than once because I was so embarrassed about my skin. But truly, in the world we live in, everyone in that store is only focused on themselves. Forget about your skin! At one point I just went in, found someone I thought looked smart and helpful. Just say "Hi, so clearly I have pretty crappy skin. Could you help me with ______?" They'll laugh at how blunt you are and will then help you out
