Hello,

I am looking for a good hairspray which can hold frizz hair, not making hair stiff or sticky and does not weigh the hair down? Especially those which do not cause breakout/are safe for acne skin...i am not looking for a specific hairspray, just looking for the various choices available :)

ps: or any type of ingredients in hairspray to avoid?

Anyone?

I use Kenra Super Hold Finishing Spray. I love it!

I hate hairsprays that don't wash off and leave a little residue on your hair. This one washes off with my shampoo and best of all is that is washes off my cupboards too. If I use a cheap hairspray and I get it on my cupboards in my bathroom, it's like it is stuck there.

I've never had a problem with it breaking me out.

Kenra is good. I just don't like the fragrance.

Sebastian Shaper is good. Shaper Plus is good for humid weather.

I'm very sensitive to hairspray, so I use one of these:

Is there such thing as hairspray that won't break you out? I mean, hair companies don't focus on making the products able to not break you out. How does it touch your face anyways?

Get some of your spray on your hands and try using your hairspray that way.You can say what's the point of using a hairspray if you're gonna get it on your hands but it works just fine for me.

Id like to know if anyone has used SEEN brand hairspray and if it broke you out. Ive used all the others mentioned and they still made my very sensitive skin breakout. I try washing my face after using it, which helps, but I dont always have time to do it.

I use the Kendra that Jillian uses. It's a little more expensive but worth the money for the reasons she gave. My hair is thin, so product weighing it down isn't good. You should look for water-based hairsprays.

When looking for a hairspray that can hold frizz-prone hair without making it stiff or sticky, it's important to look for products that are labeled as "flexible hold" or "light hold." These products will provide some hold without weighing your hair down or causing stiffness.

Here are some examples of hairsprays that could be good choices:

  1. Living Proof Flex Hairspray: This flexible hairspray provides a light hold that can be brushed out easily, making it great for frizzy hair. It also contains no parabens, sulfates, or phthalates, which can be irritating to acne-prone skin.

  2. Oribe Superfine Hairspray: This lightweight, buildable hairspray provides a flexible hold that lasts all day. It also contains hydrolyzed keratin, which can help strengthen hair and reduce breakage.

  3. Bumble and Bumble Does It All Hairspray: This hairspray provides a light to medium hold that is flexible and non-sticky. It is also free of sulfates and phthalates.

When it comes to ingredients to avoid, it's best to look for products that are labeled as "non-comedogenic," which means they won't clog pores or cause breakouts. Ingredients to watch out for include heavy oils and silicones, which can weigh down hair and cause buildup on the scalp. Alcohol can also be drying to the hair and scalp, so it's best to choose products that contain moisturizing ingredients like glycerin or aloe vera.
