Does topical tretinoin help oily skin?

I don't have acne anymore but I an prone to cystic acne because I have oily skin. Would a topical like tretinoin or adapalene help with super oily skin? anyone experiences? thanks

Overtime, studies have shown that it is the case. However, you could benefit instant results when paired with topicals containingniacinamide and green tea extractfor example.

YES! Used to have extremely oily skin, until I tried tret. Currently 8 months on it and my skin is more on the glowy side that oily.
