I've been on Accutane (local brand) 20MG for over 7 months now with no results. I am unable to up my dose because Accutane isn't available where I currently live so I have to get it shipped whenever people visit my home country. Where they only bring it in small supplies. So instead of taking 2  20mg a day I take only 1.

I never had nodular acne until last year and it's only on the  same areas. These patches have not gone at all. I feel so low and helpless.  I was so excited to go on accutane but it  didn't work... Nodules have died down a little but the skin is still so inflamed and disturbing.

Please guide me through this. I really need help.

Hey there.

Yeah it just looks like discoloration, redness, and/or scars. Unfortunately I only had higher doses of Accutane and think it works better on higher doses. Maybe stock up on pills for a few months, and don't put yourself through all those side effects until you can take a solid 40-60mg a day for 6 months. I don't understand how you are getting the pills. Are you seeing a doctor monthly to take a pregnancy test and check your blood? Also, I finished one round of Accutane, and my skin remained pretty red and inflamed for probably a month after I stopped. The dryness can be very irritating, but the skin was clear. It will get better after you stop taking your last dose and your skin can return to make a normal amount of oil

Hang in there, you are not alone.
