I have two huge craters on my left cheek and about two dozen ice pick scars on the right cheek. I am 32 and have had 4 subcision sessions in the past that helped. Just recently I started to use retin a .25 and initially my scars looked that they were improving but after a few weeks my rolling scars started to appear deeper and ice picks started to look more noticeable. Also, huge pores and boxcar scars started to appear out of nowhere.
Has anyone experienced this ?

This belongs more in the pharmaceutical area of the site. Though you mention scars. IT's a side effect. As with Accutane this can be a side effect with Vitamin A products. Accutane is the oral version of this and has many side effects. Many I see who use the cream and did not have filler w/ your subcision might have this happen . You see it thins the skin and makes quicker cell turnover. Making some peoples face gaunt(needing some volume). I would discontinue the product and discuss this with a trained dermatologist, you may have a sensitivity.
