Hi,
I have severa beard/scalp acne with moderate face and back acne. For years I read about accutane and was so scared to jump because of all the horror stories and the things online.
I started my course a couple weeks ago (50mg/day) and let me tell you, it has been a freaking walk in the park.
My lips are abit dry, my face also (its minus 30 here doesn't help). It is absolutely tolerable. Slightest headache the first few days, no pain, no anxiety, no trouble sleeping, no crazy dryness, nothing
I encourage everyone to give it a try.
Anyone else have had moderate side effects or even no side effects?
Ps; I take tumeric and fishoil everyday.
I found that it got slightly worse after about a month, but yeah, I also found 40mg/d to be pretty bearable. In fact, the worst side effect for me has been the redness, which is just an aesthetic issue. Nothing I can do about it though, since it does seem to be caused by the medication itself and not by the sun (I barely see the sun because of my daily habits and work shifts). Not a big deal though, I just get the occasional "oh hey, have you gone skiing lately?", cause I do kinda look slightly sunburnt everywhere on my face but the skin around my eyes.
