Hi, I have been usingerythromycin for 2 years which has worked wonders, but has now stopped and I am going on dianette alone. 1. Willdianette be effective enough on its own does anyone know and 2. Am I now resistant to erythromycin forever or can you return to this antibiotic after a year or so break and it start to work well again? Thanks
Unfortunately after long term use of antibiotics, you will become resistant to them. I think eventually you could start using them again, but I wouldn't suggest it as a long term solution. It also kills off good bacteria, and if you got sick, the antibiotics may not work against infection, etc.
Is Dianette a birth control pill?
It's depends , Dianette didn't work for me as I have severe acne, eththyromyin also didn't work for me & I'm on an antibiotic called trimethroprim this year and Thankfully starting to see an improvement however I don't no if your aloud to be on antibiotics long term but none of the other antibiotics worked for me accutanne is a last resort.
