I am a 37 year old male I took Accutane when I was 16-17 years old... its been I while I cant remember exactly. When I was 18 I started getting severe abdominal pain in the lower right quadrant. I never finished the complete cycle of the medication but pretty close, as it caused too much joint pain(it was literally difficult to get out of bed in the morning) as well as very dry skin that was causing my lips and nose to bleed. I started going to doctors to figure out what was causing my abdominal pain at 18-19. I was referred to numerous doctors and eventually told it was a possible kidney stone. Day after day 19 years and close to 100 doctors appointments later I still have severe abdominal pain. I just recently came across some information that said something about some intestinal problems caused by Accutane. If anyone has experienced this or now someone who has please reply. I would love to hear from someone that possibly is or has gone through what I am going through. Ive never had an exact diagnosis just speculation but still have severe pain daily.
I'm sure @hatetane will be able to advise you (no jokes btw)

I don't appreciate your sarcasm! Recovery from accutane damage is long and for some not possible. I have no answers, I wish I did.
Your taking accutane at the moment right? Interested to see how you get on!!

No sarcasm, as why I put no jokes in brackets.
i know and agree that accutane can cause many complications.
I genuinelythought u would be able to help as you seem to gather a lot of information / interest in accutane side effects.

Ok, no worries. I am collecting case histories and need as much data as possible.
I can pass this on to the researcher who may help us one day and also use it to make sure all patients get the care and information they deserve,
I don't have answers but if I was to advise at all it would be to eat as healthily as possibly and try and improve
gut microbes that we suspect accutaned destroyed.

I don't believe this is a cure but it just might give your body the best chance possible to aid recovery.
Plenty of advice on this on youtube.
