So I'm finally getting my accutane after one more blood test in a week. I'm kind of confused cuz I need to take 2 bloodtest/pregnancy test before being able to take the pillz.. one of the test I had to take it in a empty stomach butthe second one I don't have to..I don't know whats the point to take another one after two weeks. Just wonderin if this is like this for everyone or just me
Before starting the medication, my dermatologist asked for a blood test to make sure the level of cholesterol is not exceeding the normal range. He asked for another one after a month on the drug (but never 2 before starting). I guess the one you had had in an empty stomach is for the cholesterol levels (I'm pretty sure). And the other one might be for the pregnancy?(I'm a guy, I think this is the reason behind it lol) You shouldn't worry, your doctor is observing all the details to prevent you from having any problem.
